Sorting out my life - Part 2!

Sometimes I do something money saving and it gives me such a boost, I start to believe that I will really be able to do it and become debt free. Its usually the small things that make me feel positive - and its starting to become such a buzz to see all the little things add up.
Went to Sainsburys tonight and think I've probably got enough food in now to last me until the end of the month. Spent £41.78, had a £4 off voucher (would usually have forgotten about it or chucked it away) then paid using £37.50 of Nectar points. So my fortnightly shop cost me, in cold hard cash, 28p
I decided to pay the £37.50 saved straight off my Barclaycard - so I've paid off £77.50 now, from the car service put on there last Thursday :j I really would love to get it all paid off by the end of the month, but unless my eBay sales fly off the screen this week (unlikely - they're relists), I've still nearly halved it and will be able to pay it all off on payday. Dead chuffed with that.
I've also managed to blag a lift to some training I'm at on Thursday for work (100 mile round trip), so hopefully I won't need to fill up the car again until the end of the week.
Can't wait to update my totals at the end of the month. And its really sad, but I'm looking forward to payday just so I can pay some money towards the debt!! Well its the 16th of the month and I've finally had a NSD! Mind you, the night is young! :rotfl:
Bit disappointed with my eBay sales so far this month, thought some things would go for more than they did - with some things not selling at all. Need to stay positive and keep listing though. Also seem to have a problem with the Field Agent app, no jobs have loaded since Sunday, so I'm stuck on £8. Really wanted to get to £15 by the end of the month so I could judge whether it can realistically be one of my 10 ways to make £15 targets.
Have just read back my thread and I'm pleased that my initial target of paying £250 off the OD will more than be achieved, in fact, I think I might just manage to pay it all off :j But one thing did stand out like a sore thumb...and that's the gym. Keep putting it down as a target to go and haven't managed it yet! I said to myself that I'd go tonight, but so far have just succeeded in convincing myself not to, and do it tomorrow instead. Which I then won't. Aghhh! Someone please tell me to go to the gym now![STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000 -

Well done on your NSD and your savings, you're doing really well!
I had some luck with relists this week, so maybe you'll be lucky with yours.
Now get off here and go to the gym!!!!!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Ha jwil, that comment could totally have been intended for me too.
I'm always procrastinating about the gym, and need to get back to it. But its just so cold outside and lovely and warm in my dressing gown.
Well done on your progress so far copperjar, keep it up.
Is the field app any good? i keep imagining looking for "jobs" and finding that they are all in London.DFD: 23/12/20100 -

That's why I don't have gym membership, I'm far too lazy to go :rotfl:"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Well I'm back from the gym! :j Yes, thanks to the kick up the bum on here, I actually went. God it was hard! I thought I'd be able to just get straight back into it, but I only managed 39 minutes! Mind you, its been exactly 2 weeks today since I had my last cigarette and I noticed that my lungs weren't burning like they used to and I felt a bit less close to collapse! Will go again on Thursday...might need kicking again though!
Just had an eBay sale - £2.25 :silenced: Its going to be a long slog!
iwantahome - hi! I think the Field Agent app is pretty good. The 3 things I've done so far have all been local to me, and I'm certainly not in a big city. Its been supermarkets and DIY stores so far.[STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000 -
Well done on making it to the gym, I'm very impressed!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Hi copperjar,
I downloaded the app just to see what its like (although i dont have a paypal account so will need to get one of these before I get going i reckon). The jobs i've seen so far near to me are supermarkets and DIY stores too. Although making a 4 mile trip to take a photo and get £2.50 seems a bit excessive, so I think i'll just check in to see if there is anything if I happen to be in the supermarket, passing it anyway, or going into town.
I think when more companies get into it then it may be more fun and varied.
I didnt manage the gym,:o:o:o
