    I'm in!!

Just posted on your thread, but to update mine here too - I pledge 15 sessions at the gym/using my weights at home in January.

Weights makes me sound like I want to be Miss Universe or something!! They're very light and are supposed to "tone"!

Well done copperjar and I am glad you are feeling a little bit more settled. The Christmas and New Year period can be a highly emotional time for a lot of people and it doesn't neccesarily mean a happy one.
Get yourself to the gym - there is nothing like a bit of adrenaline to get the feel good factor up and running.
I used to go everyday but actually overdid it and was disappearing! My addictive personality again..... but that's another story, and now I just dog walk and ride horses.
Have a great day and have a look through that book, remember.
    Hugs

  • One down 14 to go. I am going to hurt like hell tomorrow, but i keep telling myself it was worth it.
Think of all the nice days out feeling good in the summer. The photographs that can actually be put out on display instead of hidden in a drawer, aaaaaaaaand most importantly being chased for being a slim bronzed goddess! haha.

A couple more days and you will get into gear and start to enjoy it, I bet. Especially when you start feeling better for it. I love exercising, only walking now, because I am actually too slim and weight tends to drop off which can be just as difficult as being overweight. Good for you on getting started.

Well done iwah! Well, I've been to the gym tonight - so first session out of the way. Was pretty hard going, but I did 45 mins and I'm feeling good! I'll try to up it over the next few weeks to an hour, but I've become very very unfit again and don't think I could've done much more. Also weighed myself this morning and I've only put on a couple of pounds since I stopped the healthy eating and swapped to comfort eating in Nov! Think I'd like to lose 2 stone this year.

So operation bronzed goddess has officially started!

  • I can hardly move now lol. I doubt i'll be able to do any exercise until at least thursday. (Might try a sneaky walk tomorrow to get another GOAD in tho).

2 stone would be ideal for me, but getting rid of the stone i've put on since the summer is first priority, then just being healthy and whatever comes of after that is a bonus.

Feel a bit run down today, sore throat, tired - hope I'm not getting a cold. I'm pathetic when ill!

Seem to be doing quite well with my money so far this month. Had a couple of NSDs and haven't really spent much on the non NSDs either. I've also paid the Amazon sales money off the CC and the refund from o2 towards it as well. I'm hoping to get another £200 paid towards my debts this month, have some eBay stuff to list and want to find some more books/DVDs for Amazon.

Plan to go to the gym again tomorrow (felt really good last night after I'd got back) and I really must get those weights out of the box sometime before the end of the week! I'm trying to plan a busy next few days because I've been stressing a bit about work and you-know-who today which I've told myself I'm not allowed to do anymore! So got to keep busy, busy, busy....

Trying to pluck up the courage to join one of the classes at the gym. Bit shy of doing stuff on my own and I'm worried that I'll be too unfit to do whatever class I chose! Will get a leaflet tomorrow and see what's available. Also been having a think of what else to do in my free time. I'm pretty content just pottering about, but then I think I'm still reasonably young, I should be off doing more! So that's the plan. Got to remember that 2011 is the year to be proactive and DO things.

  • This website totally went loony there, wouldnt let me post my reply.

Basically. Mantra this week for you "I AM NOT GETTING A COLD, I AM NOT GETTING A COLD, I AM NOT GETTING A COLD".

Go to a class, you'll love it. I only really like the classes as it's better with other people. Even if you are the most unfit one then they'll all want to work with you as you'll go easier on them. Aaaaaaand you may find a distraction from the ex there. :D.

Good work on the debtbusting. Are you nearing a landmark amount yet? Or are you not trying to think about it?

  • Hi copperjar,

As a relative newbie here (registered years ago but only logged back onto the forum again this week) I thought that I'd take a read through someone's diary...and I chose yours.

I can honestly say that you sound like you're doing really well. The first few posts were difficult for me to read as I'm in a significant amount of debt and things were sounding familiar. I'd been denying that there was a problem for quite some time now but when you posted your overall debt amount it made me think how I admired you (and everyone else here that has done the same) as it is still something that I hide from everyone except my OH.

    Keep up the good work.
  • Hi Copperjar

Hope you are feeling better. If iwantahome's mantra doesn't work Nurofen cold and flu!

Well done on the gym and NSD's!!
