I used to occasionally shop at Waitrose but only as mine has a fish counter and DH loves the green shell mussels. And sometimes you could pick up bargains. They are better now as they even do reduced stuff, that is great to buy, and they are more competitive with their prices on other stuff now.

M&S can be good in the sales, and when they have their 1p sale, and when there is a glitch ;

I think that Mr.W now are trying to compete with tossco prices. nice to see them being more competitive as their quality is good.

i didnt realise they did reduced stuff now. We went in to Mr.W to buy a mincemeat and gran marnier orange sponge pudding for a part pressie for a friend of ours last monday

i love real ales too, cant stand gassy lager any more

As Andy said, I think it has been a very hard year all round for everyone and I am like you, when I get down with it all, I just can't be bothered doing things, and leave everything to the last minute or even don't do them at all - we just gotta hope that 2011 will be a better year

Wow, sounds like it could be worth something - actually we've got several vintage bottles of spirits here in the house at the moment (they keep calling to us but they aren't ours so we ignore them, just about) - I will be putting them on eBay for our mate after Christmas, just gotta do some research first - at first glance through eBay when alan checked, they should do well - so I will check up on your bottle too

No whiskey in my lemon squash tonight Steve - tempted, as I would have been drinking tonight had we met up, but had some victoria sandwich cake earlier so trying to be good - which is very hard when Alan keeps wanting to eat everything in the house that I have in for christmaas, not mentioning wanting to drink everything too :mad: :mad:

Of course Aureol, anywhere is fine if they have a good bargain or, even better, a glitch. I must admit it is over 10 years since I have been in W'rose, when we lived in P'boro, so it's good to know that their prices are more competitive. I do check Ocado prices as well as Mr T, Mr A & Mr S's on www.mysupermarket.co.uk and they are linked to W'rose aren't they, or used to be

My dad bought the bottle of canadian club in hamburg duty free airport. it was made in 1963 (the year of my birth) so i inherited it and cant see me getting rid of it for sentimental reasons

Just realised that, although there had been no chance of today being an NSD with meeting up and going out, as we couldn't do that, I have an extra NSD to count today :j :j That makes 10 so far this month :j :j so something good came of it
