Does anyone here shop in M&S? We went in when in KLynn yesterday as I have £30 in vouchers from cashback or something, and found them very expensive. I didn't really look at the clothes except a pair of gloves coz my hands were freezing and they were 5 or 6 pounds - I went to QD and got a very similar pair for £1 :j So, back in M&S, I thought, well I'll get something from the food hall - a nice treat or something we'd buy anyway to save cash - was horrified at their prices - did spend exactly £10 with a voucher as they did have a £4.50 or two for £6 on boxes of choccie biscuits so got 2 of those (was bringing one tonight) and their mince was two packs for £4 which is what I'd pay normally - looked at the drink and it was so much more expensive

I must admit to never being much of an M&S fan, but these days, with so little money, I would never shop there. Yet people were filling their baskets as if they were getting bargains - I'm sorry I can't understand paying over the odds for something you can get miles cheaper elsewhere

    Rant over ............................

I like their clothes. Generally good quality. Good bargains can be had in the sales.

I food shop in Mr T and Mr A. People at work laugh at me as i dont shop in Mr W like them. But i am not a barrister, or an accountant i am just a part time teacher now and i am happy. I dont believe in conspicuous consumption, can't afford it that's why i joined MSE. I do buy nice gifts for my freinds. Erika had a dreadful week at work and i bought her lots of clarins products from ebay and saved a fortune they would have cost almost £90 from a big dept store so i am learning to be savvy. Thank you MSE.
