    Strider,

I'm confused, you parked in a supermarket car park, came back to your car and found 2 dents. Why do you think it was the driver of the car nextdoor? Did you see some damage on their car when you came to park?

But then you talked about revenge attacks - How will you know which car driver hit your car? and how will you recognise it in the future?

Then you said silly to do this when your car was out side your house..... Was it outside your house or in the carpark?

Do you have CCTV of the bloke doing the damage?

It wasn't on a carpark, it was at the side of the road, parallel parked.... I noticed his/her number plate was missing when I reversed into the space (as you should always do when parallel parking).
When I got out of the car I noticed his/her plate was on the floor in front of his/her car.
I thought as I walked away "hope he doesn't think I did that", then when I returned I found the car gone and my car damaged.

    Mmm.

And you should always parallel park forwards.

Why not make sure people can't pass a drving test until they can park?
You don't drive all the time, you have to stop and leave the car somewhere.

Outside the GYM I go to I have spied Scoobies, TTs and even a Bentley in the disabled spaces. No blue badges and they go to a Gym how F&^$ing lazy is that.

The solution to parking properly is to make the white lines little raised Kerbs that have self raising poles in them when they sense a car. That way if you straddle it you car gets pummled by the pole :)

...err no!...it depends how much room there is...if I can drive in easily I will! Why should anyone reverse park when it's not necessary!

    Had it done to me.

Only way I avoid it is to park as far away from the store as possible, that way no one is likely to park there or take a trolley there!

I think the problem is, As mentioned people only see it as its 'only a car'.

Because it's faster and it's easier?

I can reverse parallel park in one quick manoeuvre, leaving just a few inches spare at the front and rear and parking less than an inch from the kerb.... When I see people driving nose first into these spaces, they're there for 10 minutes hopping between first and reverse AND often end up parked at an angle (sometimes even on the kerb).
