They should all be made to park in a designated area...
Agreed ideally on a different continent.0 -

Would be great:D
They could make the spaces a little wider too:D
Some carparks are soooo narrow, that even when you park square in the middle of your bay you know you are asking for trouble. You come back & some idiot has parked over or hugging the white line & slammed their door into the side of yours to get out.
Lidls has the tiniest spaces, useless (even if you can park free near to the libary;)) but Waitrose ones are perfect.0 -

Doesn't mean they CAN'T, just that as usual the great British public moan but don't pursue these issues. :eek:Bean_Counter wrote: »Unlikely. We do some white lining at supermarket car parks and I can tell you that each time we do one, the size of the spaces decreases a few millimetres each time.
We ALL need to get up off our *1$**!'s and make our views known.
Why oh why do we suffer in 'silence', comparatively!:o0 -

They should all be made to park in a designated area...In a nearby Field where they were built to be.
:T:T:T
I think that would be a brilliant idea. 4x4's should have a muddy parking area. Think of the savings in providing a field rather than tarmacking and lighting a proper car park.
For those with pseudo 4x4's - Subaru Imprezas and Audi Quattros, you can use the disabled bays that you would normally use anyway.:DThe man without a signature.0 -
Much damage Strider?
2 fist sized dents.....
But was it really such a great idea?
It'll take me all of a few hours to pull the dents out and smooth them over with the help of a line board, but they'll be spending far more than a few hours being paranoid about a revenge attack.
Pretty stupid to damage someone's car right outside your own house.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I've a dent in my door atm- someone's opened a car door into it. While I do know who it was, it happened at work. Rather than create bad feeling over it, and friction at work, I'll sort it myself as it's only going to take time, and it's an old car anyway.
Do hate it happening though. Came back to my car one day at Tesco's to find a group chatting near it, one sitting on my car. That's too much....0 -
I've always had the crazy notion that we should all park with one side of our cars on the white line. So whether we reverse or nose in(another argument, another day) we make sure an agreed side of the cars wheels are on the line, resulting in a row of cars all equidistant from each other! Some carparks are soooo narrow, that even when you park square in the middle of your bay you know you are asking for trouble.
That would stop some of the crazy parking I've seen. A line of cars start all perfectly parked in the centre of the space but by the end they move farther and farther over, eventually creeping into two bays. Then theirs the 4x4's or the folk that think their car is better thatn yours so must park in the middle of two spaces,,,,,,,,0 -

That's not why they do it.....
Give me a half empty carpark and you'll find my car in two spaces as far from the store as possible, when I get snide comments I simply say "when people get some respect for other peoples property THEN i'll park in one space".
It's not about being better, I don't see my car that way..... It's about protecting your bank balance and your no claims bonus.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Slightly off topic but goes to show no matter how big the bays some idiot is going to be annoying. In Morrisons yesterday a 4x4 pulled in in front of me and took up 2 disabled bays by parking diagonally. Admittedly they were showing their blue badge but when my passenger asked the driver if he could park so I could use one of the spaces she got a good few Army quotes in reply . Obviously brain disabled...0
