Ooh, Lula, that lurgy has got you in its grip, hasn't it .... so sorry to hear that. Just dose yourself up with everything you've got, and keep taking rests/naps.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hello & apologies >*coughs & splutters*
I've been lounging about all day & looked after by DD. Bless her, she's been making honey & lemon drinks for me & also a lovely cake :A.
I'm not going to look in the kitchen though as I feel that's pretty ugly :rotfl:.
Having festered for most of the day I'm impressed that as well as the £25.33 from Quidco, I've also redeemed my first survey reward; & now have £10 sitting in my Amazon account
.
I still havent progresed far with the contents insurance, it seems that having a shiny new lappie that I want to be covered away from home ups the premium somewhat. Typically, the cheapest quote is from an insurer not on quidco & to be honest my brain is a bit too fuzzy to work out the best deal at the moment so I'll come back to that.
I have set myself up a very detailed spreadsheet so I can record my every spend through out the year. I've been reading the Frugal Living Challenge & am now curious as to my actual annual expenditure.
Simply cannot be bothered to cook so I'm going to use some of the treats fund to order pizza  & then do a bit more festering

I think festering is *really* important for you, you don't sound well at all

On the insurance, mine is due in the middle of this month, and I'm going to go through the people I get my professional insurance with - this avoids the telling of any porkies of any size whatsoever, which is always comforting.
Hope you get a good night's sleep tonight, at least.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hi Karma & thanks for the permission to fester.
I've been 'up' for a few hours now but still ache all over & cant seem to get comfortable in any position - my skin has gone all hypersensitive & noise & light makes me flinch.
The phone has rung a few times today but I've just ignored it on the basis that anyone in desperate need can text the mobile, cant bear the thought of talking on the phone.
I've also had a very random dream about having to organise living space for a gorilla, lion & badger within a small flat with a balcony . Thankfully DD woke me up because I couldnt work it out.
Add to that scenario the fact that I'm convinced the power supply that connects into my laptop looks like 'Bender' of Futurama then you have one rather discombobulated Lula. (Actually DD agrees about Bender so I'm not alone in my madness)
Well, the pizza came to £17 & it did seem a lot of money but DD was happy & no one had to wash up & the boxes are recyclable so that's the new year splurge done.
I'm off to bed with a some nurofen now & hope to actually sleep through the night as we need to get back into routine ... although I do wonder if disrupted sleep pattern has more to do with alcohol than the lurgy. I hadnt had any for weeks prior to festivites & I'll not be rushing to have any again for a while.
Bye for now

Happy New Year Lovely Lula

Sorry that you are feeling yukky! I hope that it doesn't last too long.
I totally agree with the festering, the rest does you a power of good sometimes and I'm all for festering

I hope you slept well, Lula, you sound like you've got a bad dose of it - maybe have a chat with NHS Direct if you're still aching that badly today.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
