Hi RT,
I temper my disappointment with the knowledge that we didn't really have a choice in the matter. It's just a shame that they couldn't have been honest with us as it has created a wee bit of a barrier that was never there before.
Billy I promise that when you adopt me I will not deceive you and will ask upfront for all I want first time roundHiya Gally,
Not a problem - any particular casino??
Cheers,
Billy
Bellagio obviously, I do have standards. So that'll be $10,005 on red then :rotfl:
Have a great time :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Hi Gally,
That's more like it! Assuming you win, do you let your winnings ride? Some moneysaving board - Bellagio isn't really set up for us low rollers...

ive been lucky enough to go to vegas twice now, each time my mates won more than me!! I normally set a limit to my cash aswell as a time for how long to be in there. I found i lasted longer doing roulette!! Dont forget they give you free booze when your at a table, so in true MS fashion keep an eye out for casino's where the stewards are nearby to your table so that you can keep grabbing some at their expense! They dont have clocks in the casino and dont like you bringing out a phone so make sure you have a watch!! Enjoy yourselves out there!0

Hi newgirly,
Thanks for dropping by. Absolutely good to go now. Thanks to Santander, I'm having to pick up the spending money in dribs and drabs as they'll only let me take out £1,500 a day from the branch - today is the last of those days though so we'll be officially all set by this afternoon - flights, hotels, shows and a few dinners booked and vouchers, gambling cash, eating and drinking cash and shopping cash all sorted. Santander won't be popular if the exchange rate keeps dropping and I lose out on more money!

Morning Gally,
We'll go the full way down the scale - red at Bellagio (I think their tables may well be $10 minimum though!) and then, after emerging triumphant in the desert sun, toddle up to bonanza for the tackiest tat available on the strip...it's a plan to be sure.

Morning Mr TYO,
To be honest, if we come cose to breaking even, grab a few dozen drinks over the time we're there, relax a good bit in the sunshine, ensure the people we're taking have a blast and hit the shops in the last couple of days, we won't be able to ask for very much more. I'd hate to even think about going to Vegas with the intention of making money as it would only end in disappointment and resentment - you can't force the tight-fistedness out of the Scottish!!
Moyra has a gambling strategy that has served us pretty well in the past so we'll continue to adopt that and hopefully tick all the boxes - one of which is not to use the credit card whilst we're over there. That would mean a good shopping holiday but a bad gambling holiday which isn't at all the plan.
Cheers,

Afternoon All,
T-3 days to Vegas. Really can't wait now. got a tribunal tomorrow with my boss and his granddaughter - hoping for a win between £7-12k for her. After that, planning to hold a quick training session and then off to friends for dinner. Got a big meeting at work on Tuesday, a client conference call, a couple of interviews to set up and a meeting with a potential new employee.
Two personal things to sort out before the holiday. Moyra's car insurance is due so I'm becoming the insurer to make sure my no claims doesn't lapse as I haven't had any sort of insurance for 18 months. We'll just then swap it year after year to play the game whilst I've got a company car. A few dollars still to get as I didn't get round to that on Friday.
Hope the weather has been better for everyone else this weekend. We've gone from fair to sunny to monsoony a good few times. Vegas is currently 115 degrees so that will do fine!
Cheers,
