I think to recommend that to my clients for the time they don't hire professionals. Do you think i have to recommend the usage of a mask?0

Eric
Personally, I don't think I'd recommend anything to anyone else unless I've tried it out first - and certainly not to paying clients.
So why don't you try heating the vinegar up and don't use a mask to start with and see how you go.
Then you can recommend away based on your own personal experience rather than word-of-mouth.
BTW, are you advertising in your signature?0 -

Following advice re burned on soot on my woodburner glass window, I've been using Astonish, which shifts the soot in a jiffy.
I am converted to the Astonish range, I have used a lot of their different cleaners and they all work.
For the hob, I use the Astonish cream cleaner to remove stubborn marks - again from the pound or 99p shop.0 -

My hob hasn't seen much of a cleaning product in years! (kid thee not)..
So you can imagine the state it's in (though hardly any scratches)
So I started in my quest to make it 'useable' again
first thing I tried - astonish (poundshop) and non scratch metallic scourers (poundshop or amazon
a lot of elbow grease was needed for not much progress
Second thing
Lakeland hob heaven range (just the cleaner and over priced microfibre cloths)...
Didn't shift a thing and must have used half a bottle trying!!! (tis quite a small bottle
third thing
Bicarb of soda (buy in bulk from asian shop) in a paste with a scraper (ebay - about £3) ...
Make bicarb into a runny (not too runny but it does spread out) paste as per - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9L83W1vv6lk (sorry mods if not allowed to post a video. Please edit) - you tube video. Leave on 10 mins. take off with scraper and kitchen roll/towel. Buff up with glass cleaner and microfibre cloth
Result!!! (though took two goes cos hob was that bad for one ring)
Hope this helps someone

Like loads of others I am confused.
Got rid of old cooker and hubby wanted this new ceramic one.
I want to keep it looking nice so we bought all new pans.
Currently just wipe it with damp microfibre cloth but can see marks on the top already (only used for about 2-3 weeks) - though we've not boiled anything over etc.
Think I should get some proper hob cleaner but with this glass top I am afraid to do much with it at all - with the old one I just scrubbed up as it was the old coiled ring type!Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -
I got some cerium oxide (Ebay) which is used for removing scratches from glass, dipped a slightly damp piece of those white eraser sponges in it and did the whole hob for about 5 minutes in a circular motion. Wipe off with damp kitchen roll. Worked for me.0
