A different type of delivery scam

I needed a data cable and saw this one, usual cheap price and higher delivery cost, but not too bad at £1.49 - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/USB-DATA-CABLE-For-NOKIA-5140i-6021-6610i-CA-42-DKU-5_W0QQitemZ280038127166QQihZ018QQcategoryZ20366QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
But is the delivery cost £1.49 - no it's not (check the T&Cs). Sneeky or what.
Would you have fallen for this?
(Glad I checked why their feedback was only 97%)

Actually, I would have stopped reading even before I got to the postage costs purely as they have some peculiar terms and conditions.
I don't trust any seller that feels the needs to have pages and pages of information about how I have to buy their item and what feedback I have to leave. This whole auction just makes me shudder..

I'm in agreement with ohters in that as soon as I see pages of T&C's I simply go elsewhere.
The main thing that worried me was the first line in their T&C's about not using 'ask seller a question' button? this sounds to me like a scam!!!
But then some people will fall for it because it's a 'bargain'"Gort, klaatu barada nikto"

Surely this must be in breach of eBay T & C? as well as offering a cable for sale they are also advertising other items for sale outwith the Auction, they are deliberately circumventing eBay fees by doing this and also circumventing security measures by asking people not to contact them through eBay, so that eBay will have no record of anything said to a customer."As if by magic... the shopkeeper appeared."0

Not seen that many negatives on a feedback form for a long long time
The only thing that i have on my auctions is that foreign bidders must pay by paypal and when the item will be sent depending on what payment method is used
Don't know why he lists at 49p when the fees are the same as 99p
he could then reduce his "adminstration" fee (basically the time it takes him to pick an item out of a box)Debt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO0 -
Could have at least used spell check when writing the advert aswellOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200

Can only agree with what already been said, I'd keep well away. Totally surprised that so many people are buying with him.SIMPLE SIMON - Met a pie man going to the fair. Said Simple Simon to the pie man, "What have you got there?" Said the pie man unto Simon, "Pies, you simpleton!"0

I would make it clear to ebay that the postage charge is an absolute lie. I would say something along the lines of: it's listed as £1.49 postage (note the word "postage" meaning postage, and the advertised price of £1.49, meaning that is how much they charge for postage).
( I have a new found rage, at the cheek of the scumbag).:think:0
