There's always Halfords for bikes or car mats......if u come down here thinking it's paved with gold then perhaps not......it's a life style thing I feel......being a materialist goes out the window.....and you'll feel better for it !!!!;)0

I ended up at Halfords, even then it then gave me the problem that I couldn't ever have it serviced as I couldn't get the bike back there. To get it in the car meant taking it apart all the time for the 35-40 mile round trip. There's always Halfords for bikes or car mats......if u come down here thinking it's paved with gold then perhaps not......it's a life style thing I feel......being a materialist goes out the window.....and you'll feel better for it !!!!;)
Then every time I went out on it the chain fell off, took it back 3x and in the end just stopped bothering to try to use it.
As for lifestyle, no chance of one of those when the low wages (if you can find a job) don't pay enough to be able to leave your house ever.0

I agree, I'm not really a materialist anyway, just buy what I need and quite a lot of that is over the net these days.
After having lived in a area and worked in an industry of 'must have latest gadgets', I'm ready now to leave all that behind and feed the soul instead.
As for work, will be buying into a business with sis and BiL so hope to be able to offer some employment to locals.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0

Yes but the very attraction of the area is the slower pace of life and the environment. How much does it cost to put some shoes on and go out for a walk?
Here everyone drives everywhere, even to the local shops and mums taking their children to school. The consequence is that you have little chance to meet or talk to other people. I read somewhere that most people don't even know their own neighbours. I only know the ones immediately either side of me as like everyone else I go out the front door and jump in the car.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015.
