  • Hello all - I haven't been on the forum as have just been too busy in the last couple of months but need to get back as I have fallen off the wagon big time thanks to various QVC TSVs and Bare Escentuals kits. My stash has actually, erm, increased but now I have found the time to sit down and read your posts it has motivated me to get going again. I have been keeping up with my UU and updating my spreadhsheet and this month so far have finished:

    Radox bubble bath
Estee Lauder Time Zone moiusturuiser (GWP)
    L'Occitane almond milk body moisturiser
Estee Lauder Take it away make up remover (GWP)
    Liz Earle skin repair normal
    Bare Escentuals The Gift glimmer
    Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream
Molton Brown vitamin A,B,C shower gel
    Liz Earle cleanse & polish
    Lily Lolo blush away concealer
    Bare Escentuals mineral veil
    Molton Brown amber cocoon handwash
    Trevor Sorbie mousse
Virgin Vie high shine lip gloss (gone all gloopy so threw away)
    L'Occitane rosebud shea butter handcream

Phew - have made a list of things I would like to UU in 2011 - I know I won't manage to stop buying completely but logging in to the forum does keep me focused so thanks to you all. Look forward to joining you all in December..

Wow kilpingmonkey that's a good number of use ups! :)
I have another UU (sort of) - a Tesco cheapie shower gel, it only cost pennies and it was ok as a spare. I do, however, have plenty in reserve so for that reason WNIBA! I ended up decanting the last bit into the hand wash to use it up.
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

    I've been Money Tipped!
A UU...a coconut body butter from Morrisons or tesco can't remember which.

Also I stood true to my word, cleaned of my manky and chipped nail varnish and rubbed my hands with a scrub. They are still far from luscious but I have a handcream in the sitting room to use in the evenings now (twice this evening already!my hands are just sucking the stuff up) which I'll replace with a heavier duty one when I find one in the mess upstairs.

So, I'm officially going to try and get back into a routine that pays attention to the niceties in life now, getting a head start for new years resolutions. :)

Me too, this is the worst time of year though with the Christmas sets. I don't buy much anymore and I think the luxury cosmetics might have to stop completely for me in the new year because of less money/higher taxes due to the Irish economy issues.

Thanks ladies - good to know I'm not the only one struggling, if you know what I mean. Of course it is MSE to buy stuff at the best price if you regularly use that stuff. But somehow in the midst of all the stuff I feel I am being sucked in like a vortex!

What was it that chappie Wayne Dyer said - the true definition of insanity is thinking you need *things*, that you cannot live without them. When in fact, you already are!:o

    Using up:
Palmolive shower gel - spa "flavour" - wiba no. It's very watery and a bit drying. So I will go back to a Radox one after this.

Lostinrates has inspired me to up the pampering. We used to report in previous threads about Paint your Nails Mondays or Body Butter with socks on at night. Are we letting ourselves slacken a bit?! So body cream and nails tonight for me I reckon!

    Nothing UU today.
But I did receive a pack from Wahanda today consisting of Champneys Oriental shower gel and matching body cream. James Brown Scandalous finishing spray and a PIXI nail polish! Woohoo! I also received a months supply of help: clear skin.

I am slapping the more revolting of my body lotions onto my feet every morning and night now - they are still like sandpaper from the summer, and I have very little circulation in them (or my hands), so it helps me keep an eye on them. Last year I managed to walk around with tack in toe all day as I never felt it! So I get to use up more of the stash quicker, and stops me throwing away anything that smell rank (like the current foot lotion - C&E ghastly goatsmilk.
Wish I could be a better better at painting my nails more regularly, but there's very little to work with......... :-(

Evicted what I realised to be a very old bottle of Nivea sun cream as it would be so old as to be useless the next time we have a bit of some. That's a bit more space reclaimed. :)

Sadly chucked......(and I don't chuck stuff out lightly, it goes against the grain) a couple of products that just don't work for me.

2x L'Oreal watershine(or something like that!) lipglosses. Lovely colours but NO staying power whatsoever, honestly, licked off your lips in about 5 mins, useless! No wonder they were from a job-lot reduced to £silly in TJ's!!

Couple of GWP and a hair product to be ebayed.
  • Two UU's: Clairol Nice 'n Easy Colourseal Gloss for Brunettes (the one that comes with the hair colour). WIBA? Yes, this is a real favourite. Not sure whether it helps retain colour but it certainly conditions well. Also, a Deadsea Source De-Stress Ginger Body Souffle. WIBA? Yes, if on offer but I prefer body butters.

Tonight I will post my UU's and ins for the month.
