Evening all! Hope you're all enjoying the 5th Nov - our kitty doesn't seem in the least bothered by fireworks, she did !!!!! her ears the other night and went to the windowsill for a good nosey out but after a cuddle tonight, she's curled up snoozing on the sofa and it's like being in the middle of Beirut (sorry, not very PC
) here, with various schools nearby all having displays tonight. I think it's because she was on the street at 18months old and I suspect she spent her first guy fawkes outside on her own (:() but has learned if they don't hurt her outside, she's deff safe n sound inside. :happyhear
BDINI - I've just caught up on your post about paying off you cc debt. firstly, well done, it must be great not to think about those bills every month. Secondly, I think there is lots of good advise on here, but at the end of the day you need to do what is going to work best for you - and if this is it, then there's nothing wrong with that.
Well, another NSD for me, that brings me to #4! :j We got lasagne at work for lunch which was yummy and means that I didn't have to cook tonight - double bonus. And now I'm tucking into my yummy apple, rhubarb and ginger crumble that I made in the week (think I am going to have to fight OH for the last piece..)
Did get a nice surprise after logging my petrol spend from last night - thought it was the second time I'd filled up this month and was therefore over budget, but actually it was only the first time since I'd been paid. :T
Spendy day tomorrow, hair cut in the morning, then have decided I'm going to hit a few shops and get some of the odds and ends I need for Xmas presents (panicking a bit as I've written lots of lists but feel I might be getting a bit behind) PLUS the shops are at last getting cranberries in, and according to the Ocado website, Waitrose have 300g frozen ones for £1.99 - much better than £4 in Mr S and £3 for 250g in Mr M for fresh ones. So I might make my chutney this weekend.
Have a good evening all xFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Hi everyone, popping in to declare NSD 3.
Instead of going to (and paying for) a fireworks display, OH bought us takeaway and we sat and munched that on our third floor balcony and watched the many displays and had a fab free night! The dog isn't enjoying it so much, she has legged it to the bathroom, but our gerbils are stood up on their hind legs being nosy and wondering what all the racket is about! It sounds like a bliddy warzone but sky looks so pretty.
Jinty - its been said already by everyone else but I'm sorry to hear your news, I hope you and family are bearing up ok, sending you big hugs.0 -

Hi all, alas, not an NSD for me today. The garden fence got damaged and went to the DIY store to find something to repair it with...I actually found nothing to do the job with though but while out i decided to pop into a couple of other shops and ended up spending :-(
On the plus side, when i got home i looked through the storage shed thing and found chickenwire and nails and have patched the fence up with that, looks unsightly but it's holding the fence together for now! LOL!Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

NSD #3 for me
Tomorrow isn't likely to be though..... Spotted some jars of pasta sauce in the 'staff sales' area just before I came home, and they're down to 10p each.
As I'm in work tomorrow (having done a shift swap this week) I'm going to see if there's still any left (there were 11 there) and pick up what I canCheryl0 -

Cheryl, I cannot believe you can possibly have any more room in your house to store yet more food - are you keeping some if it in the Tardis? :rotfl::rotfl: (in which case i'd hide it from Hubert and the aliens when the next outing comes up )Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

You'd be surprised at how many hidey-holes I can find
I've not started trying to squeeze anything into the loft yet, but that's pretty full of kids books, kids toys, an old single bed (blame DS1 for that one!! he dismantled it and shoved it up there while DH and I were at work), and loads of Christmas decorations I've not used in years........
And I'm off work the week after next, so can (hopefully) get stuck into a serious de-junk of my non-food stuff which should - in theory - clear more spaceCheryl0
