    Well, sadly, for all my talk of singing chickens and fat ladies in the woods, I still managed to part with cash today - it was one of those "Oh, while you're out can you get.....?" sort of days.....Thursday definitely! I will be locked away at work away from shops and other naughty things so slap my face with a wet kipper and call me Gladys if I don't manage a NSD then!

    Quick update as I have JUST sat down .... since I posted I have...
    • Made a pan of chicken, noodle type soup with some thrown in leftovers of mini baby corn, sugar snap peas, petit pois..with ginger, onion and chilli. Decanted into 3 tubs so that's three lunches sorted :j
    • Made a rhubarb and apple crumble (second one with those apples I got from Freegle) - used tinned rhubarb and with the syrup from the rhubarb instead of water to stew the apples I didn't need to add extra sugar. Added some ginger to the fruit and nutmeg to the crumble and...not to blow my own trumpet...but...ITS DELICIOUS! I've always been a better savoury cook so I'm soooo pleased how well this has turned out
    I've also;

    made OH sarnies, unloaded/reloaded the dishwasher, put the washing away, hung up the wash I put on when I got home, ironed OH shirt for work, and cleaned out the kitty's litter tray (she promptly came in from outside and peed in it as soon as I'd put it down :mad:)

    all in all I'm pooped, watching Australia's Next Top Model (on sky +) before I collapse into bed. I think I am turning into a cross between Nigella/Kirstie Allsopp and Kim (or poss Aggie?) now that's a scary mix :eek:
