    Hello all

I'd really love to join this challenge, it would do me the world of good:o

Am I allowed to join even if I'm doing payment a day? could I exclude those? They are good for my bank balance but all the random spending on carp is definetely not:rotfl:

If I can join I like to aim for 10 no spend days please, if not them I will watch you all with interest and wish you all lots of easy no spend days:D

Evening all! Just popping in to declare NSD #2 :j Needed milk but OH funded that and I am making some soup in a bit while he watches the fitba (Jinty - can you guess who he'll be supporting? ;)) so lunch will be sorted. We also seem to still have a years supply of grub in the freezer. Think I will get some of the Tesco Branston beans (buy 1 get 2 free on packs of 4 tins) this week as they are my fav but apart from that we really don't need anything.

LFV - ohhh how exciting? How long you gonna be in the USA for? I was just looking at the Virgin sale for NY but I think we're going the year after with friends (its my fav city in the world to date but I also rather like Raleigh when I go there on business)

Well done to all the members of DD's kickboxing club too - they must be really dedicated and talented.

Keiss - can I ask where you get your pipecleaners from? I'm thinking of 'borrowing' your reindeer idea for a friends Xmas present (she loves bath stuff) but adding postage seems to really hike the cost of the pipe cleaners given I only need 2. ps silly question, but how do you make the antlers? just wrap and shape 1/2 a cleaner round a longer one? (oh...that means I'll need 3 pipe cleaners :o

Right - off to brew my cauldron in the kitchen (oh, that was last month wasn't it!? :rotfl:) catch up later folks x

I don't see ANY problem with excluding those.....

Different people exclude different things - for me it's things not included in my 'live on £8k/frugal living' budget, which means social life (such as it was for a few months ;)), garden costs, and 'get fit' spends

I'm sure we have at least one person who excludes their grocery spends, as they 'answer for that' (my words, can't think how else to explain it) on the GC threads :)

My first nsd today. First time ever i went into Asda and did not spend a penny and came out with more money than i went in with and no i was not shoplifting, i sold a nappy cake to a lady who works on the checkout. Thanks to all of you who are encouraging and keeping us all going.
Jan lunch to work days 0/20
  • No NSD for me today. Popped to post office to pick up a parcel that we missed (our doorbell is broken and only just realised - probably explains the lack of trick or treaters this year :rotfl:) and made the mistake of wandering into town where I was grabbed by Tescos grrr.

Day off tomorrow and having my flu and pneumo jabs which I am not looking forward to :( So depending on how I feel later will determine whether its a spendy day or not.

NSD #1 for me today :)

Today is normally a full day at work for me - meaning it's tempting to check Whoopsie areas as I leave - but I've done a shift swap this week so one of the others can keep a hospital appt on Saturday (!?!?!?) morning. So day off today, but an 8 hour shift on Saturday instead.....

Been out twice (3.75 mile dog walk which was slightly cold but otherwise OK, and a very soggy 4.27 mile run after which I had to strip off, towel down, and get into dry clothes before doing my stretches), but didn't take money with me either time.

Between the walk and run I stripped out the cloakroom and scrubbed it down - as a result of which I now have a box of toiletries/cleaning fluids of various types taunting me in the living room..... and I can't be bothered to process them into my spreadsheet tonight, so that's been added to my list of things to do tomorrow ;)
