Evening all! Well we've had a flurry of snow in this neck of the woods but its pretty much gone now - can't put the cover on the car tonight as it's wet (the cover...well and the car) and as I learned last year, if you do that and it falls below sub-zero, said car cover tends to get stuck to said car! :o

I shall be hopping on board for a quick Highland fling and a wee dram but I really must make a start on my xmas cards tonight and label up the chutney I made last night. Are we having any haggis, neeps and tatties with our deep fried mars bars? Is anyone doing chips and curry sauce too? We'd better stay off the Buckie though - esp Hubert

Oh, nearly forgot, I clocked up another NSD today so have (just) broken my Nov target :j That's 15 NSD in total please McSppony. Was planning that I might have to accompany my mum to Mr S tonight but it was so busy at work that by the time I tried to call her she must have left. Will pop onto the Dec thread and decide target - think I might have to lower my expectations next month given Xmas is coming....

  • Hi everyone, hope you're all well and warm

I'm finishing the month on 21 NSDs, which I wasn't expecting at all, so I'm a happy camper :D

See you all over on the December thread (Eeeek how can it be December already? I'm sure someone fast forwarded time when I wasn't looking)

Got a nice little 17th NSD today to finish off the month :)

Would love to join you at the ceilidh but sadly I've got stranded with James McAvoy in a remote cottage in the highlands, with only a roaring fire and lots of lovely food and wine for comfort....... (well, a girl can dream!!) :):):):)

Reporting in NSD days 12 and 13 - yesterday and today. 2 short of target but still very pleased. Thanks spoon for all your hard work updating all these NSDs.
Anyway can i sign up for 10 for December. Huge snowfall today. Walked to work and back so feel a bit fitter. Very pretty but some horrendous drives for people. My ds was on M25 for over 4 hours and is still trying to get home. Hugs to everyone who has had nightmare journeys today

    Happy St Andrew's Day!!! Who's for a strip-the-willow??

Well, I have had another NSD today (2 over the weekend too), so I have reached my target of 18 NSDs this month :j:j:j

Really pleased, as I have had a few unforseen extra purchases this month. I have pretty well done most of my Xmas shopping, though I have a few more to make...and there are only 3.5 weeks to go :eek::eek:

So off now to finish wrapping up the Canada presents....they really need posting by the end of the week.

Have a great evening...mind the swords on the floor left by the dancers...and try to keep warm.

We at last got our boiler mended today (he will be sending a bill, so no spending :D)...it's been playing up for weeks now, being off more than on...and needing lots of cajoling.. I don't think I realised just how cold the house had become!!!

Night, night, see you on the December thread.
