Wow, I really want one of those too...
Hope some appear at York.0 -
We have a Next furniture clearance place near us. The stock is mostly from the current catalogue & usually at least half the price in the catalogue.
We've had a headboard (£90 in catalogue, we paid £40) and table & TV cabinet from the Hudson range. Bargains....they also sell bathroom cabinets, some pictures, mirrors, even some plates & cups etc....
Most of the items are slight seconds but most of the time you can hardly see what the fault is....0 -

Went to the one that just opened in the Designer Outlet in York and it had some bags priced at £5 each. Didn't really see anything that I wanted. Am looking for some nice clothes for my 10 year old but didn't find any.No reliance should be placed on the above.0

OK, could be bad news about the £2 (etc) sales. Turns out the posters advertising the two day sale are about a mainline sale some time in November and my manager says that we're probably not going to be having super-cheap sales any more because head office think the new price scheme is cheap enough.
I'll elaborate on that a little: traditionally the stuff has come out of mainline sale, come to us and then before we get the next lot of mainline stuff we've sold it off at silly money to make room for new stock.
What happened last time is that they made things a lower price from when we first received it than it usually has been. Usually stock comes in to us with somewhere between 30 and 50% off. This time around instead they chose to set the price from the start, so ladies casual trousers were £7 or less, ladies jackets are £25 or less....so basically rather than stock getting progressively cheaper the longer it's in clearance, they're putting it at an average price the whole time it's there. Better for people who visit regularly, not so good for the people who wait for the cheapie sale.0 -

There's a Next Clearance store next to the Asda at Eastlands in Manchester. If you don't drive to the end of the car park you'd miss it.
