Next Clearance Stores

Options
Has anyone ever been to one of these? Are they any good, or just full of rubbish they can't get rid of in the Next sales?

Thanks guys.

Do you mean the Next clearance store called Choice?

they got nothing special, well not really to my taste anyway, mostly basic stuff although i do have to say they had some nice kids stuff and some decent home furnishings like curtains, bedding, towels.
If you have one close its worth going in to have a look

Its worth a look. Its mostly sale stock that they didnt sell off in the stores. Cheap and good quality stuff. Some times they have trays of items at £1, have seen sunglasses, scarfs, underwear ( i found a nice corsert worth £19.99 ), jewellery.
A smile and manners doesnt cost any thing
  • I cant stand my local one. Nothing is in order. Everyone pushes and shoves and the queues are always nearly out the door.
I have seen dresses with tears in them, trousers with stains.

Perhaps i have been unlucky though.

Personally, I dont enjoy thier outlet centres.

Mine is called Next Clearance Store by the way!

I have been shopping in Choice for years - sometimes they have loads of good stuff and sometimes nothing but they do have great sales for example 50% or even 75% off and when you think that reduction is off the Choice price which is already half the Next price you can see there are some great bargains to be had.

In general it is a season or even year behind so it's not going to be high fashion but I've bought stuff that is catalogue returns in the past and still available in the high street store plus of course there's the household linens and underwear which isn't fashion based. In fact I'm on my way there now....

I believe its called "Lime" , our local one is ok, but you have to fall lucky, I've had some nice kids clothes out of there and a half price pair of trainers DS2 was thrilled with.

The next clearance in oxford is good. Last week they had all jeans £7 and under and there was some lovely £54.99 jeans originally in with this. All knitwear was under £8. Lots of bargains i got a slouchy type type with a hood for £4 which i love to bits already.

Last year i got a dress for about £8 didn't fit (no dressing rooms bus was nearly a fiver to return it). so sold it on Ebay for over £30.

Yes definately' Lime 'their own brand value bit. They have put one side of the oxford branch aside for this.

I didnt make it up to homewares so i probably misssed a bargain or too.

If you go at the right time though you can quite often get the really nice curtain poles for £4 I struggled with 4 on the bus once and a pushchair lol

Lots of lovely boots at the moment too.

On the whole there is alot of stuff you would probably not buy but if your on a budget and want a special outfit i would recommend it.
