I have just bought a new PC running Windows 7. I have everything up and running apart from my Firefox Profile containing a multitude of bookmarks and saved passwords.
Any way of getting this information synched with Firefox 3.6.12?
Am also confused with Local or Roaming?
Many thanks in advance.0 -

Have you copied your saved profile and then put it in C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
Then go to a command prompt (start run cmd) and enter this
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -profilemanager
sorted hopefully
Roaming is the normal place for saving stuff (if you may log into a server) long explanation from microsoft here
It's a word doc long and boring like my explanation

I had firefox for around 12 months after reading about it on here. (XP)
Worked fine until 3 months ago. Uninstalled & reinstalled twice & updated to newer version. Nothing cured it.
Dumped it & use chrome now.Not Again0 -

Deleting the sqllite.places file works for a while. I use firefox on Mac and it is horrendous. On Windows 7 it is fine.0

Before anybody follows your advice, it will delete your browsing history AND YOUR BOOKMARKS. Why not just deleting the browsing history when closing FF? There is a setting for this.0
