Right, off to do some housework, didn't do much yesterday as I had gone out on Friday night and had a jolly good time! (Why is it that everytime I go out with the girls I end up dancing somewhere!).
:Tsounds like a good night out to me
, good for you xx
Morning all,
No rain here yet, but the sky looks a bit grey, have my bedding in the wm, which I will hang out and hope for the best, will do dd'd in the week on a nicer day.
Thanks so much for the good wishes for my dear dad, we went to see him yesterday, and his chest and shoulder are black and blue from his fall, it breaks my heart to see him getting so frail
, will ring in a while to see if they need anything.
DD is off at her mates, they had a sleepover last night, and will go trick or treating early evening, we will collect her from her frends later on, I must go and get some sweets in for the neighbourhood kids.
Think I might make some soup for tea, then I can heat some up for dd if she is hungry, I have a butternut squash in the fridge, so will base in on that, will have some nice crusty bread with it.
Need to hoover through, and tidy kitchen.
esmf, hugs to you Mil xxxx
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning all
We've been up since 7 but just lolling around in our jammies. Lamb is in the oven, on slow, over water & covered in foil.
Plans for today include tidying the kitchen & more sewing. Sunday lunch will be lamb with stuffing, roasties, yorkies, cabbage & carrots, there will be candles on the table & a pudding afterwards to celebrate Samhain.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Morning everyone, higs to all that need them.
Its a lovely bright frosty morning here today, W/M is on, so sheets will be ready shortly to go out. The ironing pile needs some scaffolding I think as there is so much!! I am intending making a dummy run xmas cake today, the first one always gets eaten! HM soup to be made and going to have a go at artisan bread also this morning. .... and thats just the start of the list! We were given a huge carrier bag of cooking apples so I will make some crumbles etc, and will wrap some in newspaper and store them in the garage.
Our troubles seem to be finding us without us going looking at the moment for them. Its as though someone up there has said hey-you have a heap of this cr*p - life is too good for you just now, but like I said to OH one thing at a time we will deal with and life will sort itself out and whats the point in worrying about things out of your control - easier said than done I know. I am on a list mission I think at the moment - I have lists for everything but it helps me deal with everyday things and knowing that they are dealt with lessens any more stress!
Well must move and start one of my lists!!!! I hope you all have a happy halloween.

Morning all.............................((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Ita another bright sunny morning, very cold in the night me thinks!! Remembered to alter the clocks before I went to bed, did not sleep too well kept waling up, eventually got up at 8am, made my porridge and went back to bed for an hour. Have just had a shower washed my hair etc, dressed to go to the hospital. I have to put fuel in the car today. I also need fruit, so will leave a bit early and got to Aldi for Bananas, oranges and grapes and then to Tesco for apples, pears and a quick look in the whoopsie cabinet, up the A1 to Adsa and then on to the hospital.
OH not phoning this morning, no point will see him this afternoon, doubt I will get in the hossie car park, but will give it a try. HYe said last night yesterday had been very boring, no one about, he is getting really fed up on his own, hope they can move him soon, otherwise he could start getting depressed, that I cannot cope with!!
Prepped the veg for my supper, I have some pork belly out to roast with some spuds, taken a lemon cheese cake out of the freezer for dessert. will need to get it on when I come back.
Right offsky for a coffee.....nothing much spoiliing this morning.................
.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Morning All,
Dull & grey here but have lots of indoor stuff to do so not a problem. Will have to do some baking today as there is not a biscuit, cake, crumpet or scone to be seen. Going to have an early dinner today as well so need to get my skates on. DS is not impressed that I spent yesterday afternoon making cakes for the birds and not him.
Had a nice surprise yesterday morning when tidying up the garden. Was scooping out leaves from the pond and discovered that I have baby goldfish!! 4 that I could see, about an inch & a half long & just turning gold.
Glad to see that Csarinas OH is on the mend and Jackieg's ear is not so sore x
Hugs & Spoons to those in need x
Best Wishes to all x

Morning all! lovely wet sunday but at least it's warm.
Today's jobs:
Nothing!
I wish! I fell asleep fully clothed after work last night, slept ~13 hours and am feeling much better now! Meaning it's time to crack on with cleaning the bathroom, cleaning my room, ironing work clothes, revision and my stonking assignment on mathematical proof! Yuck!Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

I make it a rule of thumb that when I go out there is ALWAYS dancing involved :T:T
Morning everyone.
Terminal case of the CBA's today. Horrendous night with DD and then with DS. H let me have a lie in but he didn't really get much more sleep than us. DD is poorly, doesn't know what to do with herself so I think a Dr's trip is in order tomorrow. We were watching Show Me Show Me at 3am this morning
I have loads to do and no energy or inclination to do any of it. Was supposed to take kids Trick or Treating to local houses (pre arranged
) but honestly just don't feel like bothering. I've got to pumpkins still to carve and don't want to bother
Sorry for me moaning, feel like everything is on top of me, house is a tip, don't seem to get any housework done (especially when I have mindees in the hols) and feeling headachy and naff with the cold that DD has.
Not much OS going on
esmf - Hugs for you and the family. I hope your MIL is comfortable as possible xx
Lamewolf - Enjoy Samhain (I hope I've spelt that correct
)
Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Hester and Bitsy you had to show me up didn't you:rotfl: Hope you and LameWolf are both enjoying it Hester, I forgot you were a Pagan yourself, sorry

DS2 went to his party, I have been to Mr T (ouch!) and am now chilling on here for an hour before I try and tackle some housework. Bitsy don't beat yourself up, as long as its clean enough to cook and eat and tidy enough to find a seat you are doing well!
Have a good afternoon all.xxIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

OS-ers - thank you so much for all the good wishes for my MIL - have been cooking loads of mini quiches (in a muffin tin!) so am all cooked out now. Just catching my breath and then I'll start preparing for the week ahead - back to school and work. Need to make sure all the uniform is sorted and PE kits - and work clothes sorted. Also need to get back on the school lunch bandwagon.Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -
Right two traybakes made, 1 lemon for the freezer & 1 chocolate to be frosted for later. Scone mix ready to go in with spuds, chicken almost done & veg ready to go on. DP had to rush off to his sisters as she has some sort of emergency so have just kept busy in kitchen. Had three enormous swede which have now been cooked & mashed ready for freezer & have done the prep for minestrone soup, just waiting for bacon to defrost. The sun has come out so I think it's time for a cuppa & a little wander down the garden to see if I can see my fishlets.
Hope you are all having a good day x
