Vistaprint Rip Off

I recently recommended Vistaprint to people who have small businesses, to get stationery only paying postage. I have just checked a bank statement and have found when i have paid the postage costs by debit card online this company have set up a direct debit without my permission taking out £9.95 per month. I have to admit i don't go through my statements and so they have taken this 3 times before i have seen. I have to pay the bank to put a stop to this, so it is not the bargain i thought it was. And i will be checking all bank statements as soon as i get them in future.

This happened with me, because when i went through the checkout & all those ads came up inviting you to join etc i did`nt realise i`d be signing up for something ( think it said something like Rewards ) so i signed up for them.A while later i got an email to tell me they were taking £9.95 off me a month.I went to the website, link in the email i got and unsubscribed pretty quick!
  • It was bad enough being completely hounded by them everytime I logged into my email or Youtube, I mean it was insane the amount of adverts.
Then I check my bank statement today and see that over the last 4 months since I ordered some business cards, they have charged me over 40 pounds. Totally shocking. Looking at what some other people have said it looks like they will come back with some BS saying I clicked on some hidden box asking to subscribe. Well I was on job seekers at the time and there isn't a chance in hell that I would do that!
Clearly they do all they can to try and get as much money as possible out of people, which in my opinion is pretty much the same as Theft. In my opinion I would avoid vista print like the plague.

this will becuase when you complated and order without you reading everything you have signed up to Vistaprint Plus, so yes technically you have agreed to them setting up the Direct Debit and taking this monthly fee, so its not a rip off if you dont read through everything first and sign up to something.

i suggest next time you read everything through and make sure you only tick boxes you require.

  • just to balance things out my mother ordered a load of business cards from vistaprint when she set up her mobile beautician firm and the service was flawless

Only lazy people who can't be BOTHERED to read the terms get caught out like this.

It's not been taken without permission, it's not a RIP OFF. YOU signed and agreed to it !!!!

Next time read what you're signing up to !
