I figure I should give some of the other MSE'rs a heads up on the deal i got with no hassle.

Been with T-mobile a year and phoned up for a PAC, pretty much immediately offered a 100min/100txt/unlimited internet(within reason) for £5 a month.

It is a 24 month contact but since you are liable for such a small amount its not like it matters.

I am sure plenty of people need more minutes or phones that do the washing up but if like me you want a point of contact with a bit of mobile internet then I reckon £60 a year for phone and internet is a pretty solid deal.

    Not for £5 it's not - £10 yes.

    It's a reasonable deal for a light user IMO, - £5 a month really is nothing for a phone service.

    Only thing wrong is that TM charge for voicemail which I detest.

    £10 1 month or £5 for 24 month contract, its not resonable!!! you are tied into that contract for 2 years! WITHOUT A PHONE!!!

    What's not reasonable about £5 for 100 mins, 100 texts and a choice of unlimited <something> ?

    It'd cost ~ £20 to call for 100 mins on T-Mobile PAYG (I think, based on the fact that's what they charge me out of bundle on my contract)

    well it sa 24 month contract! if it was 12 months or 30 days it would be a good deal, but going buy what t-mobile were offering recently 7.50, 600 mins unltd texts and net 12 months, the op should of got it for 12 months or 30 days not tied in for 2 years

    Does it really matter if you're tied in for such a low amount though - I can't see such a package being available in 6,12,18,24 months - especially with the unlimited internet which all networks are going to need to knock on the head.

    @daindian

    I am not sure you are getting the point, thats still £2.50 more than my deal. I dont use the minutes, just the odd call to my mates to find out what pub they are in. I have a works mobile and landline for calls, this is just a deal that for £5 a month gives me enough mins/txt to use + mobile internet which is about a £5 itself on payg.

    This is a very low monthly cost that meets my needs, I find it hard to imagine a mobile company getting much cheaper. Buy what you need not what is the best deal.

    EDIT i should add i dont care how long the contact is as its only £5, why would I change.

    Exactly what I was getting at :T

    Wish I could find the mobile internet for that price that's actually "mobile broadband" IE they don't object to you using the SIM in a modem.
