Adelight - the pub is opposite the cathedral on Temple Row West, if you drove down Colmore Row and took the first available left that is Temple Row West and the pub would be on your right hand side. I only know this area as I used to work in building opposite the pub. I can even show you the spot in the square where I first saw my now Husband :rotfl:
Silly me I know where you mean, I've just never been in there!
The trains/coaches may be cheaper in a month's time. I've never paid more than £15 one way when booking in advance to London, Guildford, Edinburgh even!Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

Jackie the Novotel does not include breakfast but it is nice and clean and comfy (from my past experience of Accor Hotels at least). There will be tea and coffee facilities no doubt and I shall have a bit of a stock of food with me to keep body and soul together - I know that some people can even boil an egg in the kettle, but I won't go that far, I shall probably have bread and peanut butter or something like that, and fruit.
It might be too late to get the 50% offer now, which makes the room cost £40 but I went through quidco and got a £4.80 rebate, so it makes it nearly as cheap as the Travelodge!
Thank you Adelight and BitsyBean for directions.
Marie it would be wonderful if you could make it and we could see you again! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
I have been thinking about that Caterina as it does look nice, and had been thinking I could buy a croissant or something to have with my tea, and I was planning on filling my flask for the journey, so buying breakfast out doesn't sound too bad. The offer is on until midnight tonight. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

There's a Sainsbury Local next door to the Novotel and a Wetherspoon on the opposite side of the road:D‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.
