    Surprise, surprise nothing has arrived!

Seller even sent me a text yesterday morning to say she would send me the tracking number (how nice of her) and my hopes were raised a little - ... yep.. you guessed it - that didn't arrive either.

I have to wait 7 days from sending the payment before I can open a dispute with Paypal. My bank seem confident that the money will be returned to me although how can they if seller decides to take the money and run and not answer their questions?

I contacted the website on Sunday morning regarding my concerns and they have withdrawn the ad but I guess it doesn't stop them going under another email address to do it again.

I'm usually far more cautious with transactions and could kick myself for rushing! I have the dilemma now of what I can actually give son for his birthday on Thursday given that I'd worked extra hours a few weeks ago in order to afford the blessed laptop. Where there's a will ... :)

    Thanks for the replies.

To be fair we did try to warn you :)

I wouldn't hold up much hope of getting a refund from an unvarified Paypal address, Paypal haven''t even checked it is legit themselves.

Have you tried phoning the seller?

Did you fund your Paypal payment with a credit card?

    Chris - I know, I know - I was far too hasty!

Yes, I've tried to phone the seller today and they cut my call off. I paid using my debit VISA card and someone has just mentioned that 'chargeback' may be a way forward.

Even with Debit Visa, some banks.Visa can be very helpful here. I say some .

Post up the mobile number here, I'll ring it a few times for a laugh.
