Not sure whether I want to part with my benefit bad girl (sample size) mascara for the Clinique one... hmmmm!
oh that's a tricky one.i loved my sample of benefit mascara(no idea where i got it though..?) but it's all gone now.i gave in my avon one(horrible glittery one) a primark one and a 2true one ,all half used. the assistant didn't look twice!
    :j
  • Trecked all the way into Guildford for this the other day and after waiting for 15 minutes while the clinique assistant chatted to a friend they said they had none left. Ofcourse I don't think they had any in the first place. I reckon it's just a ruse to get you in there so they can sell you overpriced stuff because they have conveniently "run out" of the non existent freebies.
This happens a lot with offers on this website. I do wish that you would check that they are real offers before encouraging people to waste very expensive diesel chasing after non existent offers. Clinique stinks!!
I shall be going back to 99p store at least they have stock and they're only a couple of miles up the lane so they are cheaper to get and more obliging

It did clearly state in advertisement that only available in larger stores. Some one has confirmed they have had one from Guildford store. Its was also a limted offer. In other words first come first served.

No its not a con! I suggest you read all the previous posts regarding the sample mascara. The majority of us have had it ...so how is it a con.

Secondly if Clinique stinks maybe you should stick to 99p stores It may well save you diesel for sure and a whole lot of pennies! I dont think Boots will mind at all :).

It IS a real offer, just because YOU couldn't get a FREE mascara doesn't mean it wasn't a genuine freebie!

I got one on friday and I'm well chuffed! The friendly Clinique assistant even offered to do my eyes a make over, very happy :)

I have just read your previous posts....all angry & cross.....

That's a bit unfair! The offer does exist, as you can see from this thread. Some you win, some you lose, sometimes these freebies are out of stock when you get there - that's just the way it is. It's better to stay philosophical about it and look forward to the next grabbit. We are not ENTITLED to any of these things, it's just a bit of good fortune if we get it.

And to whom are you addressing your comment (I do with that you would check that they are real offers) - the MSE Team? Other posters?

Out of interest, how far did you travel? I would not go miles out of my way for something like this tbh, but then I am lucky to work in a city centre. If you're going near it anyway, then pop in on the offchance, but perhaps you should not make a journey especially, then you won't be disappointed in future. Or else phone in advance to check, and they might keep you one.

But please don't get so angry, it's not our fault or the fault of the Clinique counter staff that they were out of stock.

I agree, take a chill pill turbotabby. There's really no need to be so angry, and your other posts are no better! 3 posts in 2.5 years and nothing nice to say.

Went and got 1 in exchange for my Bourjois which had turned really dry and flaky. I then got 2 reduced Primark ones, sadly not 25p as stated earlier but for 50p so exchanged those too! Also got another from Debenhams and some foundation to trial too.:j these will make lovely hampers!
(Not for me, I have enough from Rimmel comps, Body Shop glitches and No7 glitches! Will keep one in my purse though!:rotfl:)

How random!! Have you not read the rest of this thread which is full of comments from posters who have taken advantage of the offer successfully? I got mine this morning in Newcastle, might try for another later in the week :D

BTW, if you think Clinique 'stinks' I'm thinking you'll probably be disappointed by the makeup in the 99p store :rotfl:
