Young drivers insurance, pulling my hair out!
Fine
Hi, im 18 and I passed my test about 6 weeks ago. I bought a little fiesta for £650 and for the last few days been ringing every big name for quotes and the cheapest im getting is £4000!
Im really really pulling my hair out because its just too much, im working full time and it will consume so much of my wages.
Alot of my friends are with Quinn Direct for under £3000 but tey are giving me £6000 I just dont know what to do..

I'm assuming you've seen this young drivers insuranceSealed Pot Challenge Member 1216 -

Try Co-op.
Personally, I'd go without, have done before and if I was in the same situation I would do again.
Charging any more than 2K is silly. 6K is just ridiclous, esp on a £500 car.0 -
This got me cheapest (£1500)
- DirectLine
- Park on Road
- Third Party Fire Theft
- 6k mileage
What does that give you?
You probably live in a low risk area, where as the op probably lives in a higher risk area from the sound of it (also being young and inexperienced doesn't help too).Ive tried everything you mentioned and still admiral give me the cheapest at 4k but wont allow monthly payments, really stuck now.
Sorry to hear that. Sounds like you live in a higher risk area! What area do you live in?0 -

DirectLine want 10K from me and said its an automatic refusal. I basically put all of those in.. I live in Romford, Essex.
Still extremely stressed out as I need a quote for under £3000 which isnt asking much yet its impossible to find0 -

Not if they are at fault for a £100k claim.0
