bought quite a bit of whoopsied cooked meat for sandwiches from the deli counter chicken/ham/brisket beef I also bought a pack of ham and I froze that but not sure about the deli stuff? do you guys freeze it? I know you say you freeze sliced meat so i am happy with the pack stuff but not sure about the deli whoopsies..
    Most certainly :D

I got a 'fair bit' of roast beef from the deli last month (or was it September?), and that's all portioned up in my freezer. Will be used one portion at a time for a 'roast dinner' - much cheaper than buying a joint (which then shrinks) and using the oven to cook it myself ;)

Maybe my DS isn't so bad after all, lol, he's only 29, but he's always had a thing for monkeys!

Well, the budget has well and truly been blown!:o:eek:

Had to get some nappies for DS yesterday even though I have 600+ size 4s in the house from when they were on offer in C0stco:eek: He has not grown in to them as quickly as I expected so had to get some more size 3's. Luckily they were on offer and got 2x64 for £12. DH decided he wanted tinned chilli and tortillas for tea, if he had told me earlier I could have defrosted some of my chilli but he was at a conference all day so was unsure when he would be in or if he would want a proper meal. Also bought some prawn crackers for our chinese night on Saturday, some tissues and a bottle of wine. Total spend £23.31 taking me to an embarassingly high £397.75. Apart from beer at the weekend we should not need anything else until pay day next Friday. We shouldn't but that doesn't mean we won't buy anything in this house:o

  • Wow jammy dodger, you got some amazing bargains there! I have never ever seen whoopsies as low as that! I'm now rather jealous!

Sorry to hear about all the health problems people & their families are having.

My hope for the weekend is that I clear out my baking cupboard. It is rammed full & I am not too sure exactly what is in there, although I suspect lots of flour. OH is on a stag night tomorrow night so may do it then.

Just back from final shop for November for me as my pay day is on Monday. Final total for November is £195.66!
Delighted to report that I am under budget for the month by £4.34 and for the year to date by £26.07! This has been a bit of a challenge to get there but worth it, and has also involved a bit of juggling between various SM's, something I never did before.
The result is that I'm going into December with a good stock of items we use regularly and also pet food.
Today I also took advantage of a lot of the Christmas offers - half price Black Magic for MIL, ( mR t, big box £5) At the Coop I got 2 tins of Fox$ Biscs £5 each and 6 Cadburys med selection boxes at 3 for £5 so that was £18 as I had a £2 off WYS £20 vchr. With the £2 I saved I bought Pudsey cupcakes for CiN. ( Christmas buys are not included in the grocery budget)

All in all a good result!:)

you will always be rich enough to be generous.

    Hi All

I've just had 5 NSD's but needed some odds and ends from Mr S today - £2.10 spent.

I'm quite pleased that my spends are still looking low. It's 63.3% through my month, but I've spent 62.1%. :T

Hi all :) My new budget starts today and I STILL haven't decided what to do with it......

however just popping on to say anyone with quidco accounts, sainsburys are now tracking 50p a time for each grocery order (so even if like me you use them quite frequently!)

Which is a nice bit of a cashback for something you do normally anyway :)

  • OMG OMG OMG!!!

I am at my limit and have a £6.50 shop to do today!!!!!

Last week my husband and I were both sick... and it's meant I overspent!

Why is it you always 'don't care' and overspend!

Oh and I don;t add takeaways.... we spent £15 on that!!!

Oh well, next friday is the start of a new 4 week period for me!!
We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy!
