Katholics - just a thought for when you're back on the right track but how about a winter picnic somewhere scenic for your Dad. That way he still has privacy, you have access to the car for heat and rest and you can take all the meds you need with you whilst lifting everyone's spirits.

Just done a shop at Mr T £27 - don't seem to have many items but it did include Pork £5.50 and Coffee £3.00 ...how quickly it adds up!

Sharronej, that is a really good idea. Very thoughtful of you to post it. Thank you! :)

Their engineer was out again today to bring a second concentrator unit. Mum and Dad live in a long bungalow and the bedroom is one end the kitchen in the middle and the lounge the other end..the front door situated in the middle of the bungalow, so the tubes were running all by the front entrance and through the kitchen area which wasn't working. Now he has a second unit set up the other end of the bungalow, he can get to any room he wants to and keep his oxygen on.

He still has back up oxygen cylinders, one either end of the bungalow, to use in case of power cuts. The engineer was very good, and told mum and dad that they are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

That's excellent news! I'm sure your Dad must feel reassured by that :)

Another NSD here on the GC front, though pretty unproductive, especially compared with yours Katholicos.....that a serious amount of baking!

And Moniker your 15 NSDs put my 5 to shame.....I'm feeling positively pathetic this evening :rotfl: Well done you :T

I'm an all or nothing kind of gal which isn't always a good thing :D

I just totted up the loaves as i stuck labels on them and there are 13 . Fortunately one of them is especially for a nice lady at Church who likes my bread, i said i'd make one especially for her :)

I'm not usually this productive Hippeechiq, days and weeks can go by with my being unable to muster the energy to do naff all...wouldn't want you to get the wrong idea about me :rotfl:

Well it's not quite as bad as a grown man (my DS, lol!) being excited by a free monkey, he's obsessed with anything to do with monkeys, lol, and I won't be at all surprised if I find his girlfriend has bought some of those tea bags just to get him the monkey!

Had main shopping day today 66.63 :) spent 43 odd in Mr t and 20odd in al^i and then £2 in iceland really happy with this wrote my list and stuck to it apart from a few whoopsie extras, I wrote my list and wrote next rough price to pay for it eg cheese £3 and spent 2.32 on it so enjoyed looking for ways to beat my guesstimations, sad or what :o

bought quite a bit of whoopsied cooked meat for sandwiches from the deli counter chicken/ham/brisket beef I also bought a pack of ham and I froze that but not sure about the deli stuff? do you guys freeze it? I know you say you freeze sliced meat so i am happy with the pack stuff but not sure about the deli whoopsies..

thanks in advance for any help

    off to update siggy!
