... the JobCentre has categorically told me to remove the dates from my CV (Reed Employment told me to put them back on, and I did) as there is an awful lot of age discrimination out there. ...
after a few years of being ill I did a 6-week return to work coaching course; they told us (all ages) not to put dates; your job history tells the story of whether you're straight out of college or more experienced and age should not be a consideration
getting the interview is the hard part, hope you have some luck soon... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

I haven't been keeping up with the thread, but wishing good health for all those who need it.
Main shop done last night at Mr M which takes my total up to £347.75. I have to get to Tuesday as Wednesday is payday. Not much in the purse . I am gonna try every trick in the book to bring us in on budget, but if DH decides we 'need' something I shall not veto. He is very keen on budgeting but not 'cutting off your nose to spite your face'. Me, I like a challenge and will be baking all week to make everyone feel that they have lots of everything. Lots of fruit and veg here, just might get unstuck by the milk and bread! This is the final straight!0 -

Katholics - just a thought for when you're back on the right track but how about a winter picnic somewhere scenic for your Dad. That way he still has privacy, you have access to the car for heat and rest and you can take all the meds you need with you whilst lifting everyone's spirits.
Just done a shop at Mr T £27 - don't seem to have many items but it did include Pork £5.50 and Coffee £3.00 ...how quickly it adds up!0 -

Not spent anything last couple of days which is unusual for me but I will need to go shopping tomorrow as we are running out of Margarine, choc spread, milk etc.
Have decided not to add on Dinner money to my Grocery bills, so far this month I have had to top up the girls accounts at School by £40, they have packed lunches 3 days a week and school dinners twice a week as they have after School sports/clubs on those days and feel they need a hot meal at lunchtime but as they are now 14 and 12 they eat so much from the School canteen and I can't include this anymore - would have increased my total to reflect this but as the money they spend varies depending on the seasons, (ie. as it's colder now they have been buying hot chocolates at school) I don't feel my GC would show a true picture. So, I have decided to keep this seperate, sorry for the waffling but didn't want to mislead anyone.
Dinner tonight will be sausages, mash, carrots, parsnips and loads of gravy, pudding will be a steamed syrup sponge.
Hugs to those that need them.:)"WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.
