Now Hippeechiq, I know you will know this - how do I multiquote using this different way of posting to my usual? Just going to try another smilie, seeing as I have just learnt that, lol!
As Spigs has already said hun - if you want to quote more than one person, click on the orange/pink double speech ballon at the bottom of the posts you want to quote from (again, as Spigs has said, you can only quote a maximum of 3 people) and then click the post reply button at the bottom left hand side of the page you are viewing.

That then takes you to the page where you type your message, and you will have smileys in the grey box to the right of the text box you are typing your message in. By clicking More underneath the sad faced smiley, it gives you access, to.....well, more smileys - lol)

If you want to just quote one persons post, just click the quote button (next to the thanks button) and it again, brings you to the page where you type your message, and you will have smileys in the grey box to the right of the text box you are typing your message in.

Using quick reply is just the box to type your message in, however, if you use that, and then realise you wanted to add a smiley, you just click on the Go Advanced button, and that takes you to the page where you type your message, and you will have smileys in the grey box to the right of the text box you are typing your message in.

    HTH :)

By the way - its nice to know that a few other peeps are still around with me until the 30th

  • updated my siggy !! i have £7.25 to last me until the 30th should be doable, this is the first time I have done this challange and its really saved me money I love it...

I also got baileys that was on special at mr t if you spent over £30 and box of chocs for mum from @ldi (she loves them) so i guess i could remove them if desparate that would be another £15 but I am rather proud that I have been able to include them. Not sure about december I am thinking as i do usually go a bit ott at xmas. but i need to lose weight and Mum is coming too and needs to watch colestoral (i can spell honest) so might be a good excuse to go easy.

hugs to all that need them

And me!! I didnt used to do it by calendar month but as I get paid 4 weekly (and I get confused very easily :o) so I decided to change it a few months back and now do it by calendar month!!

I havent had any more spends to add to it since my last update but would like to be put down for £120 for december please Mrs M I thought about it again and I shall try and stick to my 'normal' target. I will be having several less meals to cook myself (at least 5 if not more) but instead of reducing my target I will use the 'savings' for treats IYSWIM

Hope everyone is well and I shall be back to update my final total on 30th (or 29th depending on how things are going)

OH AND I FORGOT TO ADD - ITS BEEN SNOWING HERE :)

  • Thanks Hippeechiq & Spiggle. It's funny how you have (or I should say I have) all these little icons etc on the screen but well, never notice them really! I could do with you two to teach me a simple way of loading photos on faceb**k as I always seem to faff around doing that!

Thanks Mrs McC also for noting my new budget.

My grocery challenge runs from my pay days which is the 27th but December's will have to run until my DH pay day which is the last working day of the month as my mat pay comes to an end shortly and we need to start running it on his pay day. Not sure that made sense:o

Veg box delivered yesterday and shop done at Mr M that should last 2 weeks excluding milk, fruit and baby formula. I have also ordered my turkey and veg box and extra veg for Christmas so have included this in the total altthough it will not be payable until it is delivered on the 23rd. This way I know how much money is left to spend.

I think we were quite well behaved in Mr M yesterday and only bought a jam roly poly on offer and some chopped pork DH fancied for sandwiches that were not on the list. It probably helped that I fed DH a bowl of soup before we went. Did take advantage of the £5 toy story DVD but this is out of a different budget.

They did not have any qu0rn pieces so I got some of their own brand which we had with sweet and sour sauce last night. Euuuugggghhhh! They were awful. Not so much the taste as the texture which I am really funny with. Silly me bought the same quantity of bags as I needed of Qu0rn fo the next 2 weeks meal plan instead of buying one to try so will still have to buy the quorn:o DH said he will eat it thank goodness. I bought their veggie sausages as well so I hope they are ok.

I also paid 78p instead of 32p for the one orange I bought to make weezle's carrott cake as the daft lad put it through as an orange pepper! Don't suppose there is much I can do about it, but it is a bit annoying.

Right off to prepare some lunch and tea for DH as I am off to the theatre this afternoon followed by a meal and if I don't he will eat his own body weight in ham sandwiches and there will be none left for next week's lunches:)

Enjoy your weekend everyone and take care in the snow if you have it. We have about 8 inches and it keeps snowing:eek:

  • hi all

Don't know what happened to November-well yes I do we were still doing major decorating! Sooooo can't find receipts....but I have been taking advantage of special offers, and using up leftovers, meal planning, using the recipes , making my own soup and Weezl's site. Ta Weezl! I wouldn't have been attending to my spending closely if it hadn't been for this thread so thanks everyone you are all fantastic.

I will record December's spends out of interest. My daughter and her new husband are coming from Japan to stay with us over Christmas so I am anticipating an expensive time. Already £170 ish for 6 panto tickets .
