JSA stopped, think of suicide averyday

  • OP i know how hard it all is, i too have been severly depressed suicidal, it took my concerned family to get me to the treatment i required, i too have sleepless nights and weeks! ive totted up close to 80hours with no sleep once that isnt a good place to be as your body starts to shut down, and start hearing "voices" helucinate to the point you actually start believing that the helucinations are real, (like a really bad "magi trip") getting angry over the smallest things attacking someone random without a second thought to what it is your doing, taking that tab and this tab then taking more to take the edge off (not rec drugs but prescribed). i too like other has said dont worry about about the JCP. i firmly believe you should seek the help of your GP, and instead of worrying about what to ask show the scars and cuts and three words, I DID IT and its not shamefull to say it or show it its an illness just like anyother that he has seen before. you should then get a CPN, social worker, and coucellors who can help with DWP/JCP problems your facing, give you the correct treatment. AND MOST IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS LOVE YOU.
the only way is up from here.

Moob, please reconsider taking your mum or dad with you to see your GP. I have a son who is 22 and has bad anxiety issues and me going in to see the GP with him for at least one appointment helped him as I was able to explain how he'd been acting, when he was unable to. I also had to go with him for a tribunal to get incapacity. I got to go in with him but was told before I went in that I wouldn't be allowed to speak, but the 2 judges (or whoever they were) were lovely. My son was in tears and shaking but they asked me questions, and it definitely helped him as we were told his incapacity benefit was being reinstated within 10 minutes of leaving the room.

Do you have any GP's at your surgery who does counselling? There might be and you might be unaware of it.

Please see more about this. It might not feel like it at the moment, but this will pass.
  • Getting back to the OP's dilemma, MooB, Kimitatsu's comments are spot on - you need to get some professional support and the starting point is your GP.

Please be insistent about seeing someone, stressing to the receptionist that it's a matter of urgency. As someone else said, if you're truly stuck for words, take in some print outs of your postings to act as a prompt.

It can hard to open up and say what you're really feeling when asked, but try not to hold back - after all, it is a doctor's job to help, and however self-conscious you feel, they'll have heard it all before, will know how to help and won't judge you in the way you seem to be judging yourself at the moment.

Be brave and take that first step!

    Good luck

Two years is a long time with any mental illness. You are stuck in the pit of gloom and despair at the moment so you need to get some support - it is obvious that you cannot do this by yourself.

...Go and see your doctor and book a long appointment and ask them for a full mental health assessment - they dont have to accept it but they DO have to refer you, and any doctor will ask why you need one, which will give you the opportunity to talk about your problems.

The internet is a fantastic wealth of knowledge but it is only any good if applied to the real world, and none of us on here can give you any medical advice, so you need to see a professional.

OP has been good advice and is seeking help from a medical professional.
