I had to un-install internet explorer As that was the start of your troubles i guess something went wrong during the uninstall .

thanks for that - also doesnt work tho - its bringing up a downloads window and when I click on flash inside the window its a plain white window appearing

when I try to download amything or open any files whatsoever the pc is telling me I need to put a "converter" on the pc from a disc but my cd burner is broken Can I download a converter (whatever that is?) without actually putting a disc into the pc physically?

Click on the link, then select Save from the download window.

Save the file to your PC.

Then double click on the file on your PC to run it.
