working hours? legal requirement

The driving after flying rule only applies when the taxpayer is paying for the car, be it a MT vehicle or a hire car that has been paid for by the MOD.

If you have your own car at the airport, or are hiring one privately, there is nothing legally to stop you from driving it whenever or wherever you feel like it - you only need to take a fly-drive to Orlando to see everyone getting off the aircraft and straight into a hire car!

all drivers should follow drivng hours you can only work a 6 day week and after 12 hour shift there to have 11 hours rest this can be reduced to 9 3 times a week can't think off the top off my head of all the scenarios that drivers follow if you want more info i'll dig through the jsp 800

Incorrect - we are paid for 23 hours and 58 mins a day. Something to do with european working directive and human rights acts.

With regards to time limits, I think unless jobs are specific such as driving/flying/diving then we work until the job is done. Although on would hope that your boss is a good egg and lets you manage your own time.;)

Surely if he has been in nearly 22 years, he should be confident enough to say to his Boss, sorry Boss can't drive right now, I'm too tired. No?

Are you sure he is in the Army and not the girl guides? Check his uniform out, it should be a green combat colour. :rotfl:

As I said it was my query, not his. He was not complaining, I was CONCERNED.

I've learnt my lesson well that some people on this forum like to part with words of wisdom, some not so helpful!!!!

I think we can all see that the question has been answered, so we can keep our words of wisdoms, thanks.
