Slippery decking

Anybody got any bright ideas for making my decking a little less like an ice rink when it rains? More than once we've ended up on our btms when rushing outside. I'm thinking some kind of non slip material? I don't want to lay down chicken wire because it's so ugly. Any help would be gratefully received.

Jet wash it.0

You can buy anti slip decking stain or paint which should help - Cuprinol does one and some other big brands0

Another vote for a jet wash , but go mad! do it now and again in the new year.0

I wash our twice a year and find that stops the problem.0

Get one of those jet washers with the round dinner plate thing on the end, it makes using it on decking and slabs that much easier and less mucky.0

Don't forget you would need to re treat your deck after jet washing though which is not ideal this time of year.
Best MSE option is not to rush outside.....0 -
But jet washing wont stop it getting icy/slippery will it. I have same problem with my patio slabs. We jet wash and spend hours brushing off mulching leaves this time of year but a touch of frost/ice and wohoa, Im slipping again0
