Whilst usually I can accept mistakes happen and I don't waste emotional energy over "bad judgemen calls", I believe that the MSE team should answer the question: Why have DCAs have been given an apparent legitimate and endorsed voice in a forum like this? The membership of this site deserve an answer.

There are a few forums similar to this 1 were Lowells have been allowed to make postings & as a result, have angered alot of forum posters in the process.
Cant help but think that there is more to all of this than what meets the eye

The really cynical side of me would go so far as to say thats its all part of a conspiracy involving Lowells themselves or the wider debt collection industry as a whole.
At the end of the day - forums like this are a threat to the debt industry profits.
Too many people are finding out their rights on forums like this that the debt industry would rather you didnt know.
So its only natural that they are gonna want to counteract that threat in whatever way they can

Why? Well, I think anyone, just anyone should have the right of reply. Perhaps they might hang themselves.
bevhicks, do take them up on this and post progress here.

I agree that anyone has a right of reply. I would have no issue whatsoever with a DCA opening an account, and making posts on the forum under a registered username. I'd even encourage accounts used to post on behalf of companies having a special 'company representative' status to make their posts more noticable.

But that should be done in the open under a registered account, not by proxy as a result of crying to the moderators.
