A private forum ? Sorry, has everyone lost the plot ?
R&R has been here for ages, sure T read the forum, and so far in my experience, " it is the staff input here that is really helpful".
Just because T read this, does it mean they correct the prices ? Nope.
I still see posts here for expired sels going back to last month, why does that happen ?
Because T read this, but are unable to do a nationwide price fix in one go, simply because some of the staff can't be arsed to check the sels.
Go ahead staff read and join in, in my view the closer to the source, the more reliable the info..
You can also have your cake and eat it, simply buy some Tesco shares
Then the staff are all working for you, and you get paid to shop :rotfl:Back to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -

Maybe a Tesco misprice forum that Tesco staff cannot view
How do you stop Tesco staff from joining or viewing such a forum
It is possible to set up a forum that only those who are invited to can access. It wouldn't be viewed by outsiders, and I have been to a few sites that have this facility. Only admin can let you in.0 -

Yes, but this wouldn't stop those who were not invited to join still posting their r&rs on a public forum.0 -

I have also been to sites that outsiders cannot view, usually very dubious content in return for a monthly fee
Seriously people did the sarcastic aspect of a forum that tesco staff cannot view go over your heads
Happyshopper3 how would you vet potential members of these forums to ensure they didn't work for Tesco0 -
True. The serious R and Rers (does that sound right?) are more knowledgeable as they do spend quite a bit of time in their stores. I expect they pick up on more R and R stuff than the 'average' shopper. Why broadcast an R and R and make it even easier for Mr T to get in on it? We aren't invited or privy to their management meetings.0

I've never been charged for being in a private forum. How would I vet people? You choose the people who are long standing members (like I said check post histories) and they in turn could invite the people they speak to in PM. It's not a fool proof method admittedly, but surely a more closed forum is better than a public one?0 -
Happy shopper..did u learn about R&R by reading it on a public forum ?...Back to square one, no apg, no comment.0

So would i get an invite to join such a forum?
I've been a member on mse for quite a while and never posted any pro-Tesco posts or upset anybody (intentionally)
But are you sure i don't work for Tesco
Nobody ever really knows
I don't by the way0 -
HappyShopper3 wrote:If Tesco are reading this site I think it would be better if members here had their own private forum. That way they are kept in the dark as much as we, the consumers, are.
one solution is for us all to go on "C/S STRIKE" for a week or so.........and have H/O receive a few hundred letters/emails/tel. calls for our R&R....:D .....telling them we have a photocamaraphone picky.( i suggest a daily newsaper in the picky helps').......and let them deal with it or we each go to T/S..... :rotfl:0
