Hi I joined the Army over 30 years ago (where did the time go?????). I was very very shy and quiet. It was the best thing I did. I had a great career only getting out when I became pregnant with my first child. Yes times have changed however you will not find better mates anywhere. Team work is a very big word in the forces. Get fit it will help. Good luck x

Thought I would give a bit of a update for anyone who cares!

I've decided I want to join the Military Police, I've spent the last few months looking into it, and it just makes me want to join even more!

I'm getting there with my weight, got around 4lbs to go, but want to try and get rid of another stone and a bit, just so I'm not right at the limit. Fitness is improving as well, my run times have gone down from 24 minutes down to 13:45! Just need to work on my push ups and sit ups!

Working on getting my English gcse as well from Learn Direct.

Getting there slowly! My aim is to start my application before December!
    Good for you!!! :T:T

You didn't fail ;) you simply were not successful at that particular attempt :)

Good luck for next Wednesday - put some time into revision and I think you will do just great (particularly as the exam is still fresh in your mind and you will know what they are expecting from you).

Let us know how it goes :)

Passed it :D, 34 out of 40. Compared to 24 out of 40 last time lol.

Just waiting for my certificate, then I'm off to the careers advice centre.

Think it will be Monday depending on what hours I'm doing at work!

Just need to tell mum now...she didn't expect me to lose the weight and get my English lol xD.
