you don't get the silver they hold it for you.

    Better to hold it...

guys i hate to tell evertyone but the cheapest is indeed weightoncoin. Before the price increase from august they were actually one of the priciest, but since that rise their prices havent skyrocketed like all the other websites.

one ounce can still be bought for £20, everywhere else is well above that price

thats where i buy my silver from, and it is the cheapest in the UK, bar none.

they display their available quantities, which is another positive thing...

as for me i am out of the silver game so i don't mind telling eveyone where the best place is, as i kept it a bit schtum

    Why keep it quiet? huh?

You remind me of the old man at work who has all the knowledge but never shares it because he wants to be more powerful and better than the new guy.

The Forum is here to share knowledge and help each other...

The cheapest place overall to buy silver is ebay.

Many do not like it, thinking there is risk involved.

I say the risk of not getting your silver is more from ordering from a dealer outside the UK and customs intercepting your bullion.

No it's not.... Expensive + Fakes if you are a Newbie and don't know what a 1oz maple looks like...

    go here... http://www.weightoncoin.co.uk/

am i missing something? why all these threads about silver? why hold an asset that doesn't yield a dividend?

since the price has went up so much recently is that not a reason to sell?

You prob are missing something and no offence intended. Fiat currencies are being devalued into oblivion the fed is about to print another $600bill and george osborne stands ready to print another £50 bill. Go to finziv.com and look at the commodity charts

Oil is now trading at nearly $87 a barrel, up almost $7 — more than 8% — in just over a week.

Coffee was up an amazing 6.7% in a single day!

Wheat is flying, now at more than $7.20 a bushel — up 5.8% on Bernanke’s announcement.

Soybeans, at $12.83 a bushel, up 5% since the announcement.

Sugar at 31.74 cents per pound, up 5.7% in a single day!

Cotton has almost doubled since June

Capital is now fleeing into commodities for refuge from the printing presses this can only be bad news for the things you need to buy to live. Gold and silver will be amongst the chief beneficiaries of all this new money as they are the safest assets to hold and investors are piling in. its only really just beginning now

I also buy from Weighton Coins but their current price for 2011 Britannias is £27.95.
I have changed to another dealer selling BELOW £23 !!!!
Don't ask as I will not reveal the name but I have bought several times recently so not a fluke.
I check prices daily on many sites.

Surely the nice thing to do would be to tell the forum where you buy from so everyone can benefit from the low prices. Isn't that this thread's reason for being?

You have a very good command of English.

Yes as the price has went up so much why is the financial press writing so many articles about silver, init!
  • Silver is not mainstream yet, until it hits the TV, or becomes sellable in most trade exchange places. At the moment I can only sell online and that isn't indicative of an open market in the UK
