They make a condensing version.
Would possibly be more cost effective to move the boiler location as they are quite expensive.

could 1984 please tell me where the 'thermocouple' is on this particular boiler?
OP - if an engineer is having to replace part after part to get to the correct faulty part then......................HES NOT VERY GOOD.
i visited a boiler for a friend recently who had every part possible thrown at it because it wouldnt stay lit - i found the fault in 2 mins. A blocked syphon and a part that cost £13. moral of the story is get a decent engineer!
Yet i work for BG so i really should have told them it needed powerflushing and charged them £12000
