I sent off the Transfer forms on 7 April, am still waiting for the money to leave my previous provider. FD have confirmed that the forms were received and only just sent to previous provider last week (Wednesday I think). Surely my previous provider would have sent a cheque to FD by now, meaning the money should not be showing up in my previous ISA account?

Is anyone else still waiting for ISAs to be transferred to FD more than a week after sending the transfer forms?

Having applied on 6 April, my FD mini-Cash ISA finally got set up on Monday, after nearly 3 weeks and I also had to chase them a number of times both by messages via their internet banking facility and on the phone. I have not transferred my previous years' allowances to FD. This is just a fresh £3K investment for this tax year.

yes..i'm still waiting. FD received my transfer form on the 14th April They told me that requested the transfer (from Intelligetn Finance) on the 21st April ( goodness knows why it took them a whole week). but the funds haven't arrived at FD. I phoned them..they said phone IF. Phoned IF and, guess what..they've never received the transfer request from FD. After i got back to FD, FD said they'd look into it and and phone me today..well they haven't.
The higher interest rate is only until October..it's gonna take that long to put any money in my account!!!

Just phoned them to check and everything seems to be in order for me.

3k ish transfered in from last years subscription, 3k i can put in this tax year (up until october when i will transfer it out again)

Wonder if some people are just getting dim witted staff that have been taught about ISAs but werent listening at the time and therefore can't explain them properly now....
Nothing's free.....but we'll see what we can do!

A little tip, you can nominate the date you would like the transfer to take place as long as you give First Direct more than 30 days notice.

So do you have to transfer to another provider at the end of the term. Is the new fixed rate only available for new applicants or do you have to transfer out for a better rate?

Which provider offers the best rate (and has already accounted for the recent rate fall)?
