I do feel quite focussed! Saturday has been planned since February-it's a reunion with 3 of my uni friends and I am really looking forward to seeing them so i cant and don't really want to cancel but the timing is terrible-at least I am in the right mindset to watch what I am spending. I've paid for the hotel already-in 'real money' not credit so that's one expense out of the way. I popped to asda today and managed to get some whoopsied stuff-reduced turkey thigh to put in the slow cooker, reduced turkey breast to put in a curry and reduced salmon fillets, got some floor cleaner for £1.50, 2 birthday cards, a pizza for £1.17, and got my ds some reduced prawns for tea. I spent £16.50 in all.

  • Well done on the bargains in Asda.

Had an email to say that this weekend is freelisting on ebay, thought i'd let you know in case you had anything you wanted to sell.

Got my expenses of 47.46 paid in today-phew! Went to Sainsburys today and spent £16.10-that included a birthday pressie and card for dd friend, a bottle of wine, value tinned tomatoes, sardines in tomato sauce and coffee. Also parked there so you get free pabrking for the town-cambridge uni were there doing a science roadshow for kids with 14 experiments such as cornflour, microscopes, trebuchet and extracting the dna from a kiwi fruit so my two were well entertained for free-result! Am going to take them swimming tomorrow morning-i'm a member of the local authority leisure centre so get free swimming for me, dd is free anyway and ds costs £1.70 so another cheap activity! then I'm going out for the day/night which won't be cheap....Thanks for the tip on ebay pennywisepoundstupid-will be listing on Sunday!

Up bright and early as I'm working. My weekend away wasn't too horrendous money wise and I had a great time too-I spent £60 plus £16.10 train fare. I've got about £190 to last me until 23rd which isn't as bad as I thought-I thought I'd spend loads more than that. I'm going out (again!-I hardly ever go out!) on Wednesday night for my friend's 40th for a meal and I looked at the prices on the website and ouch! Again though I've committed and it's a good friend so there you go. I still haven't ebayed so that is a job for this week. I'm great at ebaying once i start but it's just getting the ball rolling that I find hard-proscrastination is my middle name!

I've been so busy with work this past week-earning some extra shift allowance to help me along that I haven't been updating my diary properly. As expected the meal was reallly really dear-£56 but it was gorgeus and that was for 3 courses in a stately home type place and we had a real giggle so although I couldn't really afford it I don't regret it. Still haven't ebayed due to taking kids out in the day and working all evening but must get round to it as I've got crocs to sell which only get a good price in the summer and there's not much left! On my credit card now for the rest of the month but there is light at the end of the tunnel for me as I get a bumper pay packet this month and have got a much smaller nursery bill thank goodness so I'll pay off what I've spent on it this month and will be able to reach the end of the next month without using it again and then can start paying the stupid thing off. I know I'll feel far happier when I can start taking lumps off it rather than using it as a pay day loan.

Well i have finally got round to ebaying and have about 9 things on-I've sold ds old bike, an old mirror and a bouncing zebra, and a dress already so hopefully will make us some spending money for our hols so I can make sure I don't use the cc this month and stop this horrible cycle of borrow pay off i've got myself into. I've had to put £400 pound on the cc this month!!!!!! but this will be paid straight off and because of my overtime/shifts etc I've got enough money to get myself through the month without having to use it again so can actually start paying stuff off again. Hurrah! Just put my expense in too so more money coming in for next month-phew!

  • Haven't been on for quite a while as have been working a lot and the internet is forbidden at work so the last thing i need is to lose my job! Well today had a massive garage bill and had to get two new tyres so as a result have no money until the 21st. Will have to use my credit card until the 21st which is rubbish and horrendous as it is only the 27th now. I will pay it all off when I get paid on the 21st but I need to make the amount I spend as small as possible because I don't want to keep this horrible cycle to continue. I have a cheque for £26 from Halifax to put in the bank and a cheque coming from overpayments to BT for 96 pounds coming in the post so do have that money to get me a couple of food shops and also am due about £20 in work expenses. Will look round for some stuff to sell on ebay as well and will shop very wisely. I seem to get through a ton of petrol though and my daughter needs new shoes and nursery have just asked me for some wellies too...arrrrgh! Will make packed lunch tonight so that I don't spend any money tomorrow at work.
