Wow amazing savings as always 🥳 Good news that your gran might be coming home so you can look after her properly and that Abbie and her bf will be on hand. Your gran is very lucky to have such a lovely family to look out for her.
    This, from me too.

    It’s February.........how did that happen

oh well might as well start the month off with a bang.......

so with a combination of no council tax to pay this month, child benefit, survey money and avon commission I have now £3064.77 in my re render account.

also the mum who quit her job due to the long hours got the managers job she applied for so although that means I start work at 6.30am Monday to Friday I’ll have a good amount to put by every week as I don’t rely on this money.  So extra pennies.

really need to sit down and get a estimate of how much I should be able to put away right up til the last week of April as would love to get my driveway done this year as well seeing as there are no holidays for the year.  Might as well see the benefit of no holidays this year.

need to go pay my avon invoice today as well as my final gas bill from old supplier

also bit the bullet and made an appointment with my bank who are offering a 5 year mortgage at 1.79% and seeing as our financial broker hasn’t bothered to reply to my email I’ve decided I’m going to attempt at securing the remortgage by myself as my current mortgage is at 5.38% and they base affordability at 6/7% which isn’t a kick off where we are at just now.  Even if I need to take the mortgage over 20 years for the affordability checks then just over pay it every month I’m happy to do that so we have an appointment at 10.30am on Saturday over the telephone for a AIP then this should get the ball rolling.  If for some reason we can get this our mortgage provider is offering us a mortgage at 3.8% which is still high but better than what we are on.

I think it will look good when we have the appointment that they can see we have the £3k in the bank only downside is hubby is going to realise I’ve paid off his credit card and I’ve managed to put this amount of money into the savings.  Oh well.
