Just catching up with you and you're doing fab as usual. Well done on keeping up with the exercise and healthy eating, looks like it's paying off :) Doing well on tackling those debts too, great idea to take them on one at a time.

Very cheeky of the family member to just assume you'd be ok with the later pick up, he could've offered extra cash at least. You have a life too outside of the minding.

You would be surprised how many parents think I don't have a life or other interests and that's I'm at their beck and call but I'm getting better at calling them out on it so that's a good thing I guess

Definitely not harsh, they are taking the mick! I wouldn't be dropping them at a relative either, what happens if they are not there when you get there?

My nursery and even school has penalties if you are late for pickup - I think it's £10 for every 15 minutes you are late at nursery and at school they get sent to after school club and you have to pay the fee.

  • I don't think it is harsh. I have to pay if I am late, which is a rare thing, but can occasionally happen.

Love your motivation for the gym. I am still not exercise motivated in the slightest!

  • You are so busy!

I feel for my childminder as she works long shifts as well. I am the first drop off at 7.15am and tonight I saw some parents picking up at 5.30pm. That's over 10 hours work. I pick up my little one earlier, but she still has others. Thankfully my little one is term time only so she gets more of a lie in when we're not going!
