Your holiday savings are looking AWESOME! Well done! You're right, you will be living like kings out there :) Where we are going is on the Euro so it'll just be like spending at home probably.

My friend has two pugs and although they're cute, they're so noisy! Every breath is like snoring and I'm pretty noise sensitive so i just couldn't. It's bad enough listening to my husband snore at night, without a dog 'snoring' all day every day :) They are cute little creatures though! :rotfl:

Oh my it's been 5 days since I've been on here and it blooming shows

My bank has taken a hit with eating out a couple of time spent during the weekend, picked up some holiday stuff for me, got my hair dyed all whilst not thinking about how it impacts my account and it certainly showed when I logged on :rotfl: but hey ho such is life

I transferred £500 into lira last week as hit hit 8 lira to the £1 so I now have £781.26 in there which is roughly 6100 lira :T this is just short of what we took last time so that's good and I have £604.73 in my savings account so that's £1385.99 in total :T very pleased with this and still got 6 weeks and 5 days to go til we are off

We will be heading to Livingston on the 15th June as that's the only weekend we have free in June to do our clothes shopping for holiday so that's the plan ;)

Started work at 7.15am this morning weve been out the back all morning (sunscreen applied  ) girls have been playing away I've managed to get a huge pile of ironing done, 3 washloads on the line had to strip the boys bedding as Kk had a nose bleed in his sleep last night as he's got a cold so my whirly is full of clean washing........means more ironing :rotfl: but all my washing baskets are empty :T love this weather for for wash loads

Also managed to deweed the area closet to the house round the back garden some of those weeds are on steroids  will see if I can get some more done later on today :D

It'll be a lsd day today as I need juice so will nip to the shop whilst I drop the girls off at nursery tho my other mindee wants to just chill out after.....can't blame her she looks knackered so this will cost me £2 :T

I need to get back on my diary every day as it keeps me in check but it's been a nice change to loosen the purse strings a bit and I think ive worked very hard so far this year with clearing debt xx

  • Your're doing really well on the holiday savings Abba :). How much do you reckon a holiday costs for five people, including flights, accommodation, spending money etc? I'm just curious in case I decide to set a holiday savings target sometime.

Well for the six of us (4 adults 2 children) it cost £2800 that's with breakfast included

As for spending money I just try and save as much as I can and any left goes towards getting school stuff after the holiday or towards the boys birthdays in August but last time we went to turkey we took £1500 with us and I came back with £450

    Afternoon :hello:

Productive morning so far washing out on the line before 8am kitchen cleaned before my new mindee started at 9.15am

Seeing as it was a bit cooler I decided we would go for a walk to Tesco as I needed to swap at bottle of conditioner for shampoo after I accidentally bought 2 bottles of the stuff :o

So swapped it no bother plus spent £7.17 on a ready meal for me for my lunch, chicken slices, cucumber, toothpaste and spring onions for our salad for tonight

Wee one crashed out on the way back and slept for a hour so let him sleep out the back garden woke him up before mum picked him up what a grump :rotfl: but he's away home now and my other mindee is just finishing off his lunch

Paid £12 for kks school trips £7 for Millport in June and £5 for summer school whichever he said he is going to  so proud of him for pushing himself as he's a very anxious kid yet he's really trying to push himself xx

Xander is off to Alton towers tonight with the school will give him £40 spending money and I'll take him out tonight's after dinner to get juice and snacks for the bus plus he needs a packed lunch but I did a extra shift for £25 on Monday so only need to get £15 for him :T my gran is taking him to the school tonight as it's a late drop off 11.45pm  and it'll be the same for tomorrow night when they get back so it was lovely that she offered :T

Still doing the healthy eating with Myfitnesspal, hubby has lost half a stone and I'm not that far behind him at 5.5lb so hoping on Saturday I'll have lost a bit more as I'm only 6.5lbs from my holiday weight :T hubby is wanting to lose another stone in 6 weeks  but I think he can do it as he's eating a lot more salads and has curbed the unhealthy snacks at night so he's doing really well :D so proud of him :T

Plans for when mindee is napping is to clean the bathroom got some new zoflora so hoping it makes the bathroom smell lovely then once he's awake it's off to do the school run then it's off to the park for a wee while.......might as well make the most of the weather :D

Right off to set the travel cot up ready for nap time
