Lastly you keep referring to the Mistake but what is it that has happened - if we can ask - do you think that has affected your rating?

*grin* sorry. Bought a place recently and have had nothing but problems with it - buyers' remorse doesn't come closethe previous occupiers debts and bailiffs are just one of the nasty things we've had to deal with and it's not helping one bit. A bit of extra financial flexibility would go a long way right now!

Hi - try to get a copy of all 3 credit reports (Equifax/Experian/Call Credit) as different accounts how up on different credit ref agencies. You could try the free reports for a month (although a bit complicated to cancel in time) or pay the £2 and I think all 3 do them online now. You could easily have something wrong on one of them - my equifax report showed 2 accounts with AP (arrangement to pay) on it last month which appeared from no-where. You need to see credit accounts on there with green ticks and as others have said be on the electoral role - although they can take a while to update so you are unlikely to be on that as yet.0

Ok... you REALLY need to look at your credit file regularly - you didn't know you had a good rating... you THOUGHT you did. Please please please realise that ratings are nothing but gimmicks to make money out of silly people (like me... I can't help it! I actually love seeing the number although I am perfectly aware that it's meaningless and won't make a difference to if I get accepted for credit or not!)
You viewing your credit file does NOT count as a search and won't have an adverse affect.
Your parters credit rating will automatically be linked to yours IF you have joint financial products... that means if either gets into trouble BOTH will be less desirable for lenders.
And... even if you have a perfect record then there is no guarantee anyone will accept you... I have been turned down for 0% cards despite a "999" (best you can get) score and never having late payments, being a home owner etc... because more than likely they didn't feel I would actually be a profitable customer to them
You "love" paying for a number you know is worthless?

Any data still registered at your address about former tenants won't be visible to your lenders so can't affect you.
Lenders do not see the score you can get from our website, it's simply a guide for you as to the state of your credit report. Although Experian is not a lender, we do provide credit scoring consultancy to the majority of UK lenders and we help many of them build their scorecards. As a result, a score you get from Experian will certainly not be meaningless. It makes me laugh when people say this. We are the UK's leading provider of credit scoring tools!!

Not as much as your constant attempts to justify your meaningless score make us laugh :rotfl:
You clearly state that lenders do not see your score, which is based on your criteria not the lenders criteria, hence it is meaningles, you then state that you are not a lender. So exactly what does your score provide given that there are numerous reports of people on here being unable to obtain credit despite Experians 'Valid' score of 999
PLEASE PLEASE PEOPLE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS COMEDY SCORE - ALL YOU ARE DOING IS PAYING FOR ONE OF THE WORST ADVERTS ON TV0 -
Those Experian ads are enought to make a cat puke. And unless you're after a loan from Experian (unlikely as they don't lend a farthing) your credit score from them is worthless.
I could give you one based on a quick Q&A session, infact, there are free credit score calculators on the Internet. The results are just as valid as the scam £5.99 ones for Experian. Here's a free one for example.

Saying that, Experian's website and report layout is the best of the major three CRAs."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -

Whilst you may be able to understand how people get credit. Some people dont. They seem to think that there is an endless oportunity to get credit.
So the score helps people understand where there file is at. So someone who is a good payer will have a higher score than a person with defaults. They can easily see that without damaging their credit file making applications then getting very upset when they dont get what they want.
So the service is handy for people to monitor their accounts. Once the accounts are open its the user not the companies who can affect it. They user knows how they can maintain their credit, they are in control. The score helps them be in control.
A late payer can see their score get better and better as they become better payers.
Okay so Job, income, post code all affect if you get credit or not. This is the next level of applications which do not get covered by these scores. The basic part is history, we all know that.0 -

Oh shove off and take your worthless crappy scores with you.
"We are the UK's leading provider of credit scoring tools!!" - Yeah, you and two other companies.. not exactly a lot of competition in the market, is there? You're only "leading" because we are forced to use you, Equifax and Call Credit.
I hope we do make you laugh because you're clearly indenial about your pathetic and meaningless products. Speaking of your worthless 3 digit "score", I'll give you two digits and it won't a number. We’ve had to remove your signature. Don't forget their 'lower my bills' service, which if all the posts on these forums are anything to go by will not lower your bills, but will certainly ensure that you get endless junk mail, phone calls and offers from Loanfinder.co.uk and others of its ilk :rotfl:
Any company which ties itself in with such disreputable organisations cannot, in my opinion, be trusted.0
