Be gentle with me. I have just seen this posted on the www. paidtoshop.co.uk website that I read a lot, and thought of you bargain hunters on here as well..

I have no idea what Dell printers are like, but it did look like a good buy to me. (From the PTS site..)

    Mega-Cheap printer from Dell!!

Be Quick - This is so cheap it's almost disposable...a Colour printer for £8.
Be sure to remove any extras to get it at this price. Oh, and for some reason, P&P is cheaper if you buy 2!

Heres the printer link (I hope)

and heres a link to the thread on the paidtoshop website about it. I'm Mamzie on there, so say hi to me if you register.

My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly :)

If the printer is provided with full carts buy loads of printers. The carts will cost *lots* more. Then bin the printers. Not very environmentally friendly but that's dell and lexmark's fault for over pricing of carts.

Wow, that's expensive. £21.70 for one printer inc VAT and delivery... :D

Two of these were going for about that price last week!!

  • I've managed to get my Dell carts refilled without too much expense and work fine. It's just a matter of choice in whether you go for a more expensive printer which has cartridges you can buy from outlets such as Morrisons for £4 odds or if you can source a good refill shop, take a plunge and buy the Dell! Overall, a good buy for the price.

Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.
  • I bought a load of the 720s when they were on a similar deal. There is a thread somewhere about cartridges, worth a search because it's not as simple as buying remanufacturered ones ( I don't think!)

Yes I took the plunge and bought 2 last week approx £25 for 2, i think it still is.... Arrived today, very quick delivery and so far so good.
My Epson c48 lasted less than 6 months with the minimal amount of use and I hated it, just couldn't get paper to load if it was not perfectly straight...good riddance!
  • Its a bit missleading the post header, especially as the printer £8 excluding VAT and postage...However; if you put two in the basket it will come up at £26.95 which is the same price as the previous post

  • Are we sure this comes with any ink cartridge at all? Looking at the website, it says 'no additional ink cartridges'. This could mean you get just the printer at that price.
  • Hi Mamzie.

I don't think any one meant to be rude; just a bit matter of fact.

You always find with anything to do with computers or peripherals that someone will be able to beat what you can do. Some people on here can build a computer that'll run all the latest games for only 3 shillings and sixpence!

Whatever you do, don't post any thing to do with crisps or MacDonalds. We also have healthy eating police on here.

Don't be put off - welcome!
