Drum Roll! I finally tried the clothes on! It takes me ages to do anything like this as i am so self conscious about my podge
1 dress i bought in the sales reduced from £50 to £10 is going back - not sure how they'll refund this as some items on the same receipt were paid for by gift card so we will see! It fits it is nice but it can go back - and i'm just within days too - it says can be returned within 1 month and i bought it on the 5th of last month phew! This was one of my holiday dresses though :undecided
The other holiday dress is as fab as i imagined it would be so this is being kept
My dress i bought about 2 months agowith a gift voucher - is completely stunning - incredibly happy with this :T it couldn't have been returned now anyway but then i wouldn't want to
Carbooty lootyok i got:- 3 brand new dresses, a brand new t-shirt just 50p!!!, a skirt and i can't remember if there's anything else in the ironing pile
i had already tried the skirt on. 1 dress and 1 t-shirt are being ironed so not tried.
The other 2 dresses :j:j:j Stunning! :j:j:j
But now i'm thinking i should return my little black dress that i got for £10The 3 new dresses i got are not black and completely different in material, cut, style to the black dress. And returning it would give me back a much needed £10
I do not own any other black dresses
If its being returned i need to do this tomorrow and i will get back £10 cash - any advice / opinions welcome

Hey DDFW,
I don't mind you stealing my ideas - most of them are nicked from you anyway
The dizzy spells are a little worrying - are you eating enough? I get dizzy when my blood sugar drops too much. Otherwise maybe a visit to the docs would be in order?
I've only ever added lentils to food before, I've just added them after the mince has been browned, but before I add any sauces. Not sure if that's right but I'm still alive
Glow in the dark legs are very fashionable these daysAt least when you are out with your OH he will always be able to find you
Glad your dresses are fitting well, and you've got some lovely bargains :T:T As for the black dress - do you love it? Is it really perfect for your night out, or would one of your other new dresses be any good instead? If you don't really love it, then I'd be tempted to return it and have the £10 in your pocket, but if you do, then it is a bargain.
That's great news about the refunds and the stamps :T :j :j"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Thanks jwili'd actually already decided to return the dress and popped it into a bag ready  and the skirt i loaned to my mum she didn't wear - i loaned her a few things and she didn't wear it for the same reason that i'm returning it - i have no top that will go with this
Already been to the docs about dizziness - probably stress related but nothing definite and i just have to carry onCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
hi ddfw
You are under pressure ddfw...its hard work carrying all the worry about the debt on your own and your body is responding to it.
Try and forget about debt busting for a couple of days ... look after yourself.

Hmmm... pondering an extra payment...
its been an expensive day
I returned the items as planned and as i had to return some shoes from amaz*n and have not yet been re-credited with the money allowing me to get the right pair  i was pleased to see the exact shoes i wanted in a shop window in the sale - the sale was £25 a pair or 2 pairs for £30 - so i got 2 pairsSadly this had to come from the bank account rather than vouchers as i had originally planned
The shoes were needed urgently
The shopping bill was much larger than i had planned as wellThere were some toiletries that were needed and these can often bump it up even though i shopped around for the best value
It came in at about £20 more than i wanted to ideally spend
Then again basics like bread, butter, cheese are just so expensive now
I also had to buy a chilled drink whilst going round the supermarket to stop me from keeling over - 5 days out of 5 on the dizzy spells now
I also took advantage of some reduced priced meat - think it had been mis-priced  I shouldn't have been buying any but nabbed approximately £20 worth of meat for £4 and its all happily stashed in my freezer now
I got home and announced to OH that i had bought a cow - there was that much of it :T
I also got some new ear-rings - mine broke *sob* and have needed replacing for a bit but i had seen these ones i liked for about £10 and had been awaiting them being a reasonable price - £2 a pair so i got 2
Then there was a birthday and the gift cost me over £20 - it was in my mind about this and there was no delaying it any longer
OH also gave me £100 towards something - which sounds great but that £100 is towards a specific thing. OH owed me money towards shopping and also owed me £20 for an item he asked me to order from my account - obviously after the very generous £100 i could not ask for the £20 + the grocery moneyso although i've got the £100 towards 1 thing i couldn't touch that today and had to cover the £20+ shortfall
- hope that makes sense - i'm of course very grateful for the £100.
It all seems very spendy but:-
Birthday spend was unavoidable and very reasonable considering what i got
Shoes - ok 1 pair was urgently needed - the other pair not so but a £40 pair of shoes which i will wear loads for £5 is not the worst thing ever
£4 ear-rings - stunning should have been £20 in total and as my ear-rings usually last me a long time i'm very happy - but could've got 1 pair for just £2 instead
Unavoidable covering the item OH ordered
Unavoidable making up shortfall on shopping
Things i could have not bought from shopping - pop in the store and for home - but it was my only treatwould've saved £3
Meat - wasn't needed - will be used for lots of meals and a great bargain but £4 spent when things are tight
Biscuits - got 2 packs not 1 - overspend of 50p
Again none of this is too terrible but it is after all these bits that add up and need to be kept in check!

Ooooh I like the sound of all the reduced meat.
I can never seem to be in the sm at the right time to get the cheap stuff.

The dizziness sounds worrying, I really hope you feel better soon. I have slightly low pressure which is the cause of my dizzy spells althought they are not that frequent. I take it your doc has ruled that out though.
Cant believe all the lovely new clothes you have, I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of a dress Mr Pinot bid for me on ebay. I just hope it looks ok !

hi ddfw
Don't beat yourself up for spending a few extra quid. You will pull this back. It must be frustrating for you not to be able to express your worries to OH when you needed more money. It will all sort itself out eventually but it is a strain on you.
You need to get yourself checked out with those dizzy heads, ddfw"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream"C. S. Lewis
