i am a poorly DDFW signing in today _pale_ - sadly not due to over indulgence :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: - Actually i have been poorly for a few days and got a little worse xmas eve and xmas day but was a little trooper and kept telling myself i wasn't poorlyI am pleased i managed to enjoy xmas day though :j:j:j Lovely food and really lovely and thoughtful gifts - i am very lucky
jwil - i am pleased i got those things done as i am not in much shape to do anything today to be honest. Though i'll try and move a few gifts
Now though i am going to spend much of today curled up on the couch under my slanket and with the heating on full. Hope to get this out of my system as quickly as possible.
Hope everyone had a lovely dayCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Well i'm breaking up the time i'm curled up on the sofa with a bit of tv, a bit of reading and a bit of nipping on here
- i'm a little behind with my plan for debt freedom next year but with my head feeling like cotton wool i don't know how well i can continue with my cunning plan just now
As i say, i was very lucky yesterday and received some lovely and thoughtful gifts which is fab :j:j:j - i didn't receive any money (which i would have used to throw at the debt) but i did receive various vouchersNow due to a lack of self-esteem i have spent more on clothes and footwear this year than i'm truly happy with. When i think how this could have been paid off the debt i get quite  with myself
But the items i bought i'll have for a long time and wear lots.
So now i need to set myself a challenge which will be a £200 clothing budget for the next 12months
My rules will be:~
1,Vouchers which i've received (not purchased myself) spent on clothes will not count as i'm not spending any actual money myself
Obviously though if i do need to add a few pounds to a voucher to get an item then this few pounds will be added
2, If i'm on my holibobs and buy some new clothes with my spending money then this won't be counted either - as its from spending money to spend on whatever i want and from a budgetted spending money covering lots of things like food, drinks, sightseeing
Ideally my clothes budget would be £0 but as my work shoes (for both p/t & f/t work) fell apart recently (and haven't been replaced) then i don't think i can get by on £0 as some things are necessities
Off to update this into sig and probably do a bit more readingCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
I am currently basking in the heat from the central heating - i'm a little worried about the cost of the bill for this but need to get well ASAP as going to work feeling like this will be awful
I'm going to try a new recipe today and do feel like having something to eat now so hopefully that means i'm perking up a bit- i need to do the recipe anyway as i had got all the ingredients ready and they won't last much longer than today - and i don't want to waste them - had to just throw some bread away  ooh how much does it annoy me wasting things!
Still not come up with any more money making plans for next year - something i need to really think about
Have moved most of the gifts i received so keeping on top of all the tidying and keeping everything in its place
I am really not doing anything too taxing today but will regret the wasted day when i'm better which i know is just plain silly when i'm not well enough to do any more than i'm doing - haha i really don't like waste do i ? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Never mind - i'll just have to look at looking after myself as a major positiveCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Glad to hear you had a nice Christmas DDFW, and got some nice pressies.
Sorry to hear you are unwell though - but a day looking after yourself is NOT a wasted day - it's as important as anything else!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hi all
Well today is another day of trying to make myself feel better - i am so not looking forward to work again tomorrowit kinda feels worse as i've not managed to do anything this last couple of days.
So today i am going to try and get *something* done - although to start with i'll probably try and have a little something to eat - soup
i managed to finally redeem on a survey site :j:j:j straight into my ladders savings (amaz*n) so am very pleased with that
rightio - will try and report back later :cool:CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Well that didn't take long did it? :undecided Do you know that feeling where you feel rotten so curl up and then after a while you start to feel a little better so you get up and do something - only to find that you only felt a little ok because you were lying down? Well thats how i feel. I can curl up for ages and then get up to do something but come over all sick _pale_ I can only hope its a very quiet day in work tomorrow
Still, onto the positives i *have* done some things :T Pots washed and sides cleaned downwashing done and now drying
Some more xmas gifts have been moved
I've finished the book i was reading - jwil it was a stephen king one - four past midnight
And, i've just started another book - not usually the sort i read but at poorly times is ideal. A very light chick-lit - easy to read and once its read i can list it for sale
so all very moneymaking really :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: - oh and i was given this book so thats all good there then
i am still thinking about how to make some extra funds  - and apart from taking on a third job :eek::eek: i am struggling. Still a third job could be an option - i'll see when my head is less like cotton woolCurrently suffering headache, earache, bodyache - lovely :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:- like i say though i am very glad the worst of it hit after christmas day so i could enjoy the day and the food
OH [STRIKE]has given[/STRIKE] will be giving me a few more bits to sell once he's sorted them out so thats a help
i need to lie down again now guys, i'll try and pop back later xCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Hope you feel better soon DDFW, and you've achieved quite a bit even though you feel rough!
Hope you enjoyed the Stephen King book, I haven't read that one for years. I've been reading fluffy chick lit today as well, it's an easy read. Although reading is leisure, it does count as decluttering in my house as i have so many books. It's also MSE as I then sell them all - so you shouldn't class it as 'not doing anything'.
Well done on your amazon redeem and yay for OH giving you stuff to sell."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
