Do I need to do anything after installing cleanmem?? When I go start, programs, cleanmen - there are lots of items - Apply Ignore List 32bt OS and Apply Ignore Lists 64bit OS. Do I need to do anything?!0

I used norton uninstaller - which i assume is the same thing?
Sorry - I dont understand what you mean by start with a clean install??
Id rather not buy more memory if I dont have to!

Clean install would be to remove everything and to start from scratch.
Spending two hours doing that is often more productive than spending hours chipping away at this and that.
More RAM would cost up to £15 and make a worthwhile difference.
Clean install and extra RAM equals speedy laptop. Clean install with the the 512MB currently installed is still ok, but 1GB is better.
Example: 512MB RAM £10.99
1GB RAM £15.990
