What about the other people in the house? Are they having the same issues? What are they doing / have they done about it?

And how is the stuff outside her room paid for? Do they all pay a share of the common area bill or is that in her rent?

This sounds more like a bedsit than a room in a shared house?
  • You are right thinking about it, there is no room where they all can sit together, are the laws different for that then, i have never been in one.

Do they split the bill for this between them? Equal shares?

Is your g/f working? if so why does she not ask her employer for a work place loan to get her out and in to a new place, that she can pay back over (x) number of weeks.

Could she get a short term 2nd job as say a xmas temp to help save up to move?

Could her parent even though they are not local, give her a loan for a short while

Could she get £400 or what ever on a 0% credit card for 18 months and pay so much off over (x) weeks.

  • It is on a meter and she seems to put £3 to there £1 so its not too equal, and that is a good idea i'll mention it to her, if it all comes to nothing i am going to give her the money to move out but it wont be for a month or so.
